I tried transcribing mine in IPA but UBB doesn't like unicode. It's the first syllable of "wizard" followed by the element arsenic.

I'd imagined most other PDNs differently:
nee-OH-ka.
din-TIH-ruh-DAN (although my accent transforms the nasal ash in "dan" to a diphthong of "e" and schwa).
Thuryl the same as the sound file but with the last vowel a schwa instead.
tih-RAN-ih-cus. That's a schwa in "cus." Same deal applies to "ran" as in "dan."
dicky-YO-ba. YO-ba sounds like Yoda.
Alorael sounds like allocate, but with "rail" (as in railway) instead of "cate." That's general American, so the vowels are an ash, a schwa, and a close-mid front unrounded vowel respectively.

I believe anything that is a container, a sign, or has a terrain script on it can be searched, regardless of what te_can_look_at is. Do your trees satisfy any of those criteria? If so, that's the trouble.

You are Tweety.

You are cute, and everyone loves you. You are a best friend that
no one takes the chance of losing. You never hurt feelings and
seldom have your own feelings hurt. Life is a breeze. You are
witty, and calm most of the time. Just keep clear of back stabbers,
and you are worry-free.

100 percent true, if I may say so myself. Too bad there are only 5 options, and the way the numbers work out everyone has the greatest chance of getting Tweety.

I can't tell if that's sarcastic. From what I've seen of your politics, I think it probably is, but most people here would agree wholeheartedly with that characterization.

For the record, his opponent is anti-choice.

1) Where are you going to school (Or where did you)?
Carleton College, in Northfield, MN.
2) Was it your first choice?
I had fooled myself into thinking I wanted to attend Princeton University.
3) Do you wish you had gone somewhere differently?
Nope.
4) Are you now, or will you ever be, a member of the Communist Party?
No, and probably never, but they have my support in a "someone needs to do it but no one wants to" kind of way.

By your definition, I think no one would have strength of character, at least the way the scene was originally written (George Orwell's 1984). Wasn't the whole point, that rats were the absolute worst thing in the world to be faced with, and that anyone in Winston Smith's position would have done the same?

Also, you didn't actually explicitly make the connection, that you believe fighting back against bullies as a child is what leads to being able to withstand the rats. Nevertheless, I'm going to infer that that is what you actually meant in this case, and I'm going to say that while fighting back may or may not be a sufficient condition for strength of character in this scenario, it is not a necessary condition.

I'm not sure of either the logic behind this measure or the implications of it. Why would it make sense for insurance companies to use credit rating as a reason to impose a higher premium? Would that get them more money in the long run?

It seems like this is just an arbitrary restriction on how large firms can conduct business. Which I'm all in favor of, generally. It just seems really random.

Related question: Do the time intervals for when creature/terrain scripts get called rely on the same ticks as the day/night cycles? That is, will doing this kind of tomfoolery mess up how often scripts get called?

The chain of implications I had in mind was:

It is possible for one's sexual orientation/preference to change => It may be possible to induce change in someone's sexual orientation => If so, then homosexuals should be converted into heterosexuals whenever possible.

I admit that I assigned this contrived chain of logic to Gizmo's (or are you only Jewels now?) statement in part because she is a self-avowed fundamentalist Christian. Upon further reflection, I realized that I should not have made any assumptions about Gizmo's beliefs in this matter.

Indeed, for all I know she may believe that all heterosexuals should be converted to homosexuality.

Perhaps not, but I'd guess there are people who would do that if it were possible.

How do you quantitatively measure power? What if there's a tie? Given any two powerful entities, is there an algorithm to determine which has more power? If there were two serious contestants with godlike amounts of power, would there be anyone in a position to apply the algorithm and tell people the results?
