Must generate new, non-quiz, non-poll topic... Okay, got it. A lot of folks here are either in college or have graduated college. Five questions. 1) Where are you going to school (Or where did you)? 2) Was it your first choice? 3) Do you wish you had gone somewhere differently? 4) Are you now, or will you ever be, a member of the Communist Party? As for me, 1) University of Maine. 2) Sure. I picked schools with access to ski mountains, and it qualified. 3) Not sure it would have affected me either way. 4) I will be when the time is right. 5) This is confusing, eh? -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

1) Where are you going to school (Or where did you)? Carleton College, in Northfield, MN. 2) Was it your first choice? I had fooled myself into thinking I wanted to attend Princeton University. 3) Do you wish you had gone somewhere differently? Nope. 4) Are you now, or will you ever be, a member of the Communist Party? No, and probably never, but they have my support in a "someone needs to do it but no one wants to" kind of way. -------------------- 5.0.1.0.0.0.0.1.0... 1) College of William and Mary undergrad, University of Arizona, grad. 2) No, and yes, respectively. 3) No, No. I definitely realized later that the undergrad institution doesn't matter so very much, and that doing well there will get you into the grad school of your choice. 4) Nope. -------------------- A few cats short of a kitten pot pie... 1) University of Chicago. 2) Yes. 3) Yes and No. I made the choice when I was 17 and went through myriad changes by the time I started; 18-year-old Slarty might not have gone there. So in some ways it was never a good fit. On the other hand, my other choices were all out in the boondocks, and living in Chicago had a big, positive impact on me. 4) No. 5) INKEY$ -------------------- Slarty vs. Desk • Desk vs. Slarty • Timeline of Ermarian • G4 Strategy Central Posts: 3560 | Registered: Wednesday, November 7 2001 08:00 |

1) Cedarville University, a small school in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of nowhere. 2) Sorta. I would have preferred to go in state (Rutgers offered me 85% of tuition in Scholarships, and Rowan offered me full-ride), but there are no schools of repute in New Jersey offering a comprehensive BA in electronic media. So, of viable options, it was my first choice. 3) In retrospect, definitely no. 4) If both the Democrats and the Republicans keep going the way that they respectively are... I may be forced to. 5) Penguins, as it happens. Though I have considered chilled tofu as an alternative. -------------------- The Silent Assassin realized all too late that his tequilla bomb had been neutralized... quote:What Dikiyoba says is notably and fondly true. Indeed, my favorite place is in the middle of nowhere. It's a small camp in the New Jersey Pine Barrens...
