I wouldn't call H*R bad for a flash video site, but in general most of them are just mindless, idiotic rants. Let me put it this way, I'd rather get kicked in the balls than watch another one. One flash site that I know of is www.rathergood.com But I prefer webcomics like Penny Arcade, Squidi, and Bob and George -------------------- Live teh fez. Some Spoilers - - okay Khoth's palace wasn't too difficult. All you need to do is wait a few turns for the lasers to change directions, then cross. Note: The fastest paths are cut off, you ahve to work your way around. Then after the golem fight you give Khoth the item you got from Morog. I hated this part. SPOILERS - - - - - - - 1. The Super Powerful Undead Traps They did that much damage to me too, I was lucky to be able to kill them in one hit. And yes they reset. 2. That annoying middle room. On the second floor, travel to the middle. You will find a section with two doors leading into a small room. Inside that room will be two eye beasts. After you kill them you will find two more doors. These doors, however, can only be opened with a key. 3. The Key They key you need is being held by a Vahnantai Zombie Keykeeper. He resides in one of the corner rooms of the second floor in the Spiraling Crypt. After you "kill" him, he will teleport to the next corner room. Before you go chasing after him, destroy the crystal pedistal in the corner of the room. If you don't he will be able to teleport back (annoying.) After you "kill" him four times, he will drop the key and you can open the doors in the middle room. 4. Inside the middle room and up the stairs. You will run into an Alien Blade wielding Vahnantai Zombie Boss. I killed him and got what I needed, but I think you can help him(?) instead. (I couldn't waste time, day 12, damn poppy shroom field.) After you help or kill him, you can use the boats on the first level. Hope that wasn't too confusing. Posts: 1233 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

I play on torment with three characters. A level 27 Slith Warrior, a level 28 Nephilim Archer, and a level 28 Nephilim Priest/Mage. The first three scenerios never gave me much trouble, I could usually kill most enemies before they could even attack me. Now I'm playing DWTD, and the undead continue to rip through my ranks. My characters have decent gear, my Slith Warrior is using a Ruby Helm, Blessed Plate Armor, a Fine Large Shield, Fine Slith Spear, Armor Ring, Blessed Cloak, Fine Leather Pants, etc. But the undead, especially those Worker Zombies and Spectral Avatars, hardly miss when attacking and deal at least 50 damage per hit, while attacking four times. His Defense is 7, his Parry is 8, and his dexterity is 13. Even when War Blessed (which is level 6) by a very good caster, he still gets hit for a large portion of damage, every time. Don't even get me started on my other characters. I suppose my questions are 1. How much health and endurance should a character have? 2. How can I keep the undead from hitting me every time? 3. Is it possible to make a martial artist character like Betty? She rocks. :P Posts: 1233 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

Or you could pick off the Spirit in the first round and then haste/bless a fighter and rip the undead to shreds. If you are having trouble with ranged monsters, especially the ember lizards after the lava, I have a suggestion. Get an archer. I play on torment with 3 characters, a Slith Warrior, a Nephilim Mage/Priest, and a Nephilim Archer. My archer easily does above 100 damage per arrow/bolt and picks off all the casters before they can cause serious damage. Posts: 1233 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

How do you backstab the Empire at the end? I couldn't stand the Hill Runners, cause they were way to sick for my taste. Posts: 1233 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

those aren't the ones. The ones you are looking for are way up north near the mountains, however it is easier to kill them and take the stone, than paying 50 gold. Posts: 1233 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

IC: Glen glanced nervously at the smoke and signs of fire. "If its demons again then we are in big trouble," he turned to his nearby companion(s?). "I was sure more people would have followed your lead Garath." "The less people, the harder it will be to track our trail and catch us offguard. Don't panic Glen, we are no better off than if we were with the group. The danger remains the same, if not less so." Glen was not entirely convinced. His simplistic mind told him larger numbers meant better odds of living, but, there was something strange about this man. His presence seemed to douse the peculiar feeling that shrouded the valley, though in a way that was not at all comforting. Glen noticed that there had been no serious trouble since they left the group, nor sign of traps. "Weird," he thought, "I was sure this area would be covered in protective wards and traps." Maybe what they said about this man was true. Maybe his presence did null magic, or perhaps they were just lucky. Still he kept a sharp eye out, for anything that looked a bit too suspicious, just to make sure. Even with the absence of immediate danger, Glen moved silently and tried to keep the trail covered as best he could, for who knew what rogue demon or beast lurked near by, waiting to pounce. OOC: I actually thought more people were going to follow, but since not, I guess we will meet up later. Since I wanted this character to be void of commanding skills and to not be very bright, I chose to ignore the internal conflict. I hope this works out. -------------------- Live teh fez. as for you second question... Aran just used it as an example meant to discourage people from playing different types of characters, godly or normal (Like cicadas). Its strictly human, except for a select few they might ask to play as demons or something. -------------------- Live teh fez. Posts: 1233 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

Considering that it hasn't started yet, and that you do not need to get your characters approved ahead of time, I'd say there is plenty of time to join. -------------------- Live teh fez. Posts: 1233 | Registered: Wednesday, October 3 2001 07:00 |

If the damage was that bad, we would have already banned nuclear plants. Pesticides and fertilizer have caused more damage than the radiation. You know whats really scary, the fact that one day the sun will super nova and all that man acomplished will be lost forever, in the blink of an eye, and that there is a galaxy more than 500,000 lightyears wide.
