Over my weary travels over the vast internet, I discovered a sole web-site the has no sexual content and no cursing. If anyone thinks that is a bad thing to not have them, don't whine to me about it just don't go there. It's a pretty good webstite so try it. www.homestarrunner.com please tell me what you think about it! -------------------- Espresso hasn't been invented yet. That stinks. H*R is easily the most overrated website on the Internet. -------------------- AnamaFreak (3:59:56 AM): Shounen-ai to the MAX Misogynism is the wave of the future, but it sure pisses the womenfolk off. Shocking, isn't it? Posts: 2367 | Registered: Friday, June 27 2003 07:00 |

hey RC you like HTF too? I love that web site. There's something about seeing little animals slaughtering themselves... -------------------- Espresso hasn't been invented yet. That stinks. Xian Skull- Avernum 3 Posts: 1287 | Registered: Thursday, August 14 2003 07:00 |

I'll admit it has its moments, but given the hype surrounding it continually, it should be the best thing since Jesus. It's consistently fair to mediocre, and it strikes me as ass-backwards that something like it gets featured in Time magazine and the webcomic community gets all excited about an interview with some indie journal. Hell, to extend the analogy, it is to Internet humor in general what Squidi's 'work' is to webcomics. There's much better, but they tend to languish unfairly. It's funny, but it's not so much better than every other source of humor on the 'net that there is a rational explanation for the fact that everyone and has mother has heard of Homestar Runner and nobody has heard of Random Humor Site #51132B. ?Alorael, who doesn't have the patience to sit through huge amounts of H*R. Or HTF, for that matter. They both tend towards the same kinds of gags, and you can only sustain that for so long. Sure, there are occasional gems that break free of the pattern, but those are few and far between. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

H*R is mainly a five-minute break in your lifestyle to get your nerves off your stupid work. -------------------- Espresso hasn't been invented yet. That stinks. Xian Skull- Avernum 3 Posts: 1287 | Registered: Thursday, August 14 2003 07:00 |

You know, I'm a Newgrounds kind of guy. I find great flash on there, instead of looking at a site like H*R or HTF (Though I did watch most of HTF... they never fail to crack me up, especially Flippy. Or was it Skippy? That vietnam squirrel...) Sure, a lot of Newgrounds does have that sickening stuff. But there are many gems in there that have great fun... for everyone. -------------------- "Friendship is two things: Trust, and sharing. If H*R was 5,000 times as funny as it is now, it still wouldn't be half as funny as Wigu, or Diesel Sweeties, or even Penny Arcade. If it was 10 million times as funny, it would still languish in comparison to Leisuretown and Jerkcity. It's a piece of dump, to put it succinctly. In fact, H*R/Newgrounds/etc. suck so bad that I purposely removed Flash so I'd never have to see them. -------------------- Beatoff Valley: A story told out of order. Penny Arcade? Are you kidding? However childish H*R is, Penny Arcade doesn't even compare. I say that's one of the most overrated humorous websites, not H*R. On that note, Bigger Than Cheeses is just plain hilarious and is far more entertaining than H*R, which I quite like. If he'd just get rid of the rants, it would be perfect. EDIT: OK, OK, it's capitalized. Bash yourself round the head with the aforementioned until you can't distinguish your innumerable contusions from each other. It'll help. www.penny-arcade.com is the location of the site. -------------------- "I particularly like the part where he claims not to know what self-aggrandisement means, then demands more wing-wongs up his virgin ass" Posts: 961 | Registered: Thursday, June 12 2003 07:00 |

I wouldn't call H*R bad for a flash video site, but in general most of them are just mindless, idiotic rants. Let me put it this way, I'd rather get kicked in the balls than watch another one. One flash site that I know of is www.rathergood.com But I prefer webcomics like Penny Arcade, Squidi, and Bob and George -------------------- Live teh fez. What's so great about Penny Arcade? I read their newest stuff in an attempt to find a bit of humor - I stopped after forcing myself to laugh once or twice and struggling not to fall asleep the rest of the time. Are their older ones better? EDIT: Somebody start a webcomic poll. I don't know enough of them to do it myself.
