Could we genetically enhance women to lay golden eggs instead? If this is the case, then I'm in favor of the egg laying.

Thanks for the update, I look forward to playing this scenario for the first time when my party reaches the recommended level. However my party doesn't use spells, and based on what I've read about Exodus, I'm not sure if they should attempt it or not. Do you think it's beatable without spellcasting?

Most dedicated, probably. Best? That's a matter of opinion.

Kelandon is smart enough to decide whether or not he wishes to continue making scenarios. He doesn't need advice or sympathy. Just give him some damn time to recover. Hell, if I designed a scenario half as large as Exodus I'd want at least six months rest before starting another one.

Saddam Hussein's Execution in General

Article I found on AOL News. Thought some of you might be interested.

quote:
Military Nurse Recalls Softer Saddam
AP
ST. LOUIS (Jan. 2) - A military nurse who cared for Saddam Hussein in jail said the deposed dictator saved bread crusts to feed birds and seldom complained to his captors, except when he had legitimate gripes.

Master Sgt. Robert Ellis cared for the former Iraqi dictator from January 2004 until August 2005 at Camp Cropper, the compound near Baghdad where Saddam and other "high value detainees" were held.

Ellis, 56, an operating room nurse in the St. Louis suburb of St. Charles, said he was ordered to do whatever was needed to keep Saddam alive.

"That was my job: to keep him alive and healthy, so they could kill him at a later date," he told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for a story published Sunday. Saddam was executed Saturday.

Ellis checked on Saddam twice a day and wrote a daily report on Saddam's physical and emotional condition.

Saddam told Ellis that cigars and coffee kept his blood pressure down, and it seemed to work. Saddam would insist that Ellis smoke with him.

Ellis said Saddam did not complain much, and, when he did, his complaint was usually legitimate. "He had very good coping skills," Ellis said.

Saddam shared with Ellis memories of happier times when his children were young. The former dictator described telling the youngsters bedtime stories and giving his daughter half a Tums tablet when she had a stomachache.

When he was allowed short visits outside, Saddam would feed the birds crusts of bread saved from his meals. He also watered a dusty plot of weeds.

"He said he was a farmer when he was young and he never forgot where he came from," Ellis said.

When Ellis told Saddam he had to leave for America because his brother was dying, Saddam hugged him and said he would be Ellis' brother.

"I was there to help him, and he respected that," Ellis said.

Saddam never discussed dying and expressed no regrets about his rule.

"He said everything he did was for Iraq ," Ellis said. "One day when I went to see him, he asked why we invaded. Well, he made gestures like shooting a machine gun and asked why soldiers came and shot up the place. He said the laws in Iraq were fair and the weapons inspectors didn't find anything.

"I said, 'That's politics. We soldiers don't get caught up in that sort of thing.'"

Edit: Even if this story is a load of bullcrap, it just goes to show, even though he committed horrible crimes, Saddam was still human.

I saw Rocky Balboa today, which, by the way, is an incredible film.

It's a heartwarming end to the Rocky series that is so touching it drove my father to tears (which never happens). Rocky Balboa is definitely one of the top three best movies this decade. I implore you all to see it.

Yes, I will eventually finish it. I already have the first attack pose.

Unfortunately school takes up a lot of time, and most of my graphic making takes place when I should be doing my homework.

I'm probably a little late in doing this but here it is:

quote:
Pacifist 90%
Citizen 70%
Guardian 70%
Loner 45%
Altruist 40%
Destroyer 30%
Conqueror 25%
Narcissist 15%
Hedonist 10%
Miscreant 5%

I thought the test was unfair at points with questions like, "Would you take a bullet for a stranger?" I think there are just some situations that we can't understand until we are actually in them.

Scripting tutorials? in Blades of Avernum

There's no easy way to do this, you just have to start from the ground up. Read the scripting chapter in the Editor Docs (it will require basic logic), and look at other people's scripts. Eventually scripting will start to make sense to you. What you really need is commitment.

Some Games Have Too Many Sequels in General

My first console gaming system was the N64, so I missed all the older stuff (though I do own the original gameboy). I love every single one of my N64 games, which I consider classics. (I didn't see Master Quest on that Zelda list)

You should have added Pokemon to that list. These are the Pokemon games I can think of off the top of my head:
Red
Blue
Yellow
Silver
Gold
Crystal
Saphire
Ruby
Emerald
Along with the other hundreds of pokemon related games like Pokemon Pinball, Pokemon Snap (another classic), Pokemon Stadium, etc.

Let's go Cardinals!!! in General

Since I was born in Michigan, it makes me sad whenever a Detroit team comes so close to a championship, and loses. Considering how badly the Tigers whipped the Yankees and Oakland, I think most figured that they would wipe the floor with the Cardinals too. Boy, were they wrong. Oh well...

EDIT:
I would like to point out that I'm used to these types of losses. Just a few years back, the Carolina Panthers, after years of losing records, surprised everyone by becoming one of the best teams in the NFL. Then, after making it to the superbowl, they lost by a field goal to the New England Patriots.

Neutral Good characters believe in the power of good above all else. They will work to make the world a better place, and will do whatever is necessary to bring that about, whether it goes for or against whatever is considered 'normal'.

I've never taken a standardized American History class. It's a pity too, because I can't take one now without college admissions raising an eyebrow at why I'd possibly have two credits for American History. Comparative Politics and Government doesn't cover America anymore, so I'll have to take an American Government class sometime...

As a side topic, why is it that most Americans are so ignorant of world poltics? Is it our school system? How is it different from other countries?
