The last time I've seen menues at the top of the screen was Exile 3. The Avernums never had them.

Seems to be a 'Mac only' option. There are no menues at the top of the screen with Windows. And no, I'm not playing full screen.

Cav, don't worry so. Nobody's going to ban you. What an idea. Your work is very good, so it's no wonder that theft has happened before; it will probably happen again. If, as a professional, you want to stop that, you'll have to put a lock on your pics to prevent downloading. If you don't protect yourself, girl, someone will always take advantage of you. That may also somewhat be due to the overall tenor of your site that looks and sounds more like a private homepage to me than a professional's exhibition.

Overwhelming is asking for the legally correct procedure in this instance. The text kendl linked him to does not mention the name 'Ash Lael', so whatever he hears from you is only hearsay.
Maybe one of the community is able to contact Ash Lael or his brother?

What do you mean when you say: it MUST BE copy to "D:\"? "D:\" is usually either a partition or the CD-Rom drive. Where do you want the DIR to go?

I can see the website (in Germany), it looks fine to me. When I downloaded the demo, I got error messages. I'll try again. You'll need some help with your english, though better not from me, I'm not a native english speaker.

I know 'Flatland', though it's been a while that I've read it.

quote:
UNLESS...We somehow became part of GOD's reality(re: became gods ourselves).
The third dimension - our world - is aware of the second and first, as our reality contains and surpasses them both. The same would probably be true for a fourth, fifth, sixth dimension. What we know as our world would be embedded in and be part of a larger reality that we cannot imagine. And if that multi-dimensional consciousness at the end of the ladder (if there is an end) is what we call by the name of 'God', then certainly we are part of it and its reality, just as the first and second dimensions are part of ours.

Well, just give the link and then we'll see. Should it not be alright, people will tell you and maybe suggest an alternative. Folks are usually helpful around here.

until the next time I see Thuryl turn a philosophical discussion into a game where he molests the other participants with knives.
Has he been knifing others?
I feel much drawn to the point he's arguing from. Thuryl is asking into the nature of 'reality', and that's an intriguing question, or isn't it?

What I didn't quite get was the whole 'A and not A' section, when it was used to prove or disprove the existence of God/Gods.
Every artist would feel a painting he's done to be part of him, an expression of him. Insofar the painting would be him, and also, as he's certainly more than the picture, not him at the same time. Does not the same apply to God/Gods and his/their creation?

But that's not Drakey, that's James. Which just proves that you can very easily be A and not A at the same time. ;)

Bad things have happened. Try to repair your WinXP, if your computer has such an option. If not, you'll have to reinstall XP.

HELP ME in Blades of Avernum Editor
Guardian

The error message you get is a typical one and tells that your Editor.exe is not where it should be.

Go to your Blades of Avernum folder and open it. You'll find a subfolder there called 'Data'. This subfolder is what Isaac is refering to. Move the Editor.exe into the Data subfolder.

The instructions for Windows can be misinterpreted. When they tell you not to place the .exe into a subfolder, they refer to the subfolders containing graphics that you find within the Data folder.

I don't remember IE4 that well, but check the 'internet options' of your browser, particularly the security and advanced sections.

BitDefender:
Free Downloads

edit: I have used the free version from time to time for a thorough virus check. There's little that escapes this program. AntiVir may pass by a cleverly hidden infected file, the Defender won't. What you can do with the free version is limited though.
