quote:That would be great. It's not that difficult now, but some people probably won't like to manipulate the BoA.exe themselves. If JV would just consider to allow for more sound files, everything could be smooth and fine. If we could have 1o or 20 empty sound files in the .exe for custom sounds as we have empty graphic slots, there'd be no problem whatsoever. -------------------- Polaris Rache's A3 Site reformatted 2/3 done Rache's A3 Site, original version Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |

quote:It was not a level 30 party. I used the one that had returned from Bahssikava. But even with a level 30 party, it depends. You'd need Invulnerability and Energy Potions, Repel Spirit at a decent level, Cloud of Blades and lots of hacking. edit: Spy, download the Mac version from spidweb and give a feedback, will you? Thanks for explaining. I searched high and low for Griffith, but couldn't find him. But I've downloaded the new version, so that may change. I came upon the rebels by chance, while exploring some caves. I would have liked to talk with them, but they drew weapon and attacked. When they were dead, I met their leader, who, surprisingly, talked with me. I had just promised help when his mad brother appeared, summoned some nasty creatures before I could ever say Hello, and they attacked and killed the rebel leader. I then, in turn, took the wizard's life, because I thought him a nuisance. But, when I finally met the Haakai Lord, they all reappeared and fought on my side. Now, that's loyalty! :) -------------------- Polaris Rache's A3 Site reformatted 2/3 done Rache's A3 Site, original version Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |

quote:I don't understand this, Smoo. When I talked to the mayor, he gave me some papers I never used nor needed. More than that he didn't do. The goblin quest was one of the last I went on, I had already done battle with the haakai at the gates. So I got the amulet late in the game, and when the wizard didn't react, the vampire's help made up for that. edit: that reminds me of something. The rebels helped me fight the haakai lord, although I had inadvertently killed them before. quote:Yes, it is. And Smoo, don't despair. This is a fine scenario and I really liked to play it. If there is code that gives you a headache and you don't know how to fix, why not ask someone to help you in the forums? Others have done that before. edit: the boats worked for me, but I also experienced the altar bug, the soldiers asked for help after I'd cleaned the mines, and the wizard in Sattle ignored me at first. He let me talk to the major eventually, but never examined the amulet. Being the pragmatic type, I didn't force the issue, just went on to see that obliging vampire. I didn't talk much with the wizard in the hut, so I missed out on a few things there. I entered the fortress terrain via main entrance after a battle, exploring led me to the pond where I found an alternate route leading back to the wizard and got the message that this is the route the wizard told me about. Well, he hadn't, as I hadn't asked. Is it alright that I never met commander Griffith? Couldn't find him. I'll download the updated version and give you a feedback. It's not their fault. I remember a thread where maps were posted. Berlin was somewhere in the middle of Poland, and the eastern and western part of the country had changed places. Made me wonder. -------------------- Polaris Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |

I'm no help there. It's been a while. All I remember of that rabbit is its running around with white gloves, mumbling something about coming too late to the party. But Drakey can't have had that in mind. -------------------- Polaris Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |

Try that selfextracting file SkeleTony is offering. If that also doesn't work, consider changing to Win 2000. It's still the best OS Microsoft ever created and keeps you out of all this trouble. -------------------- Polaris Rache's A3 Site reformatted 2/3 done Rache's A3 Site, original version Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |

quote:You touch that old question: What is more important in life, the goals you set for yourself or how you move towards them. Or both? Personally I don't believe that there can ever be an easy answer. Not only because of individual preferences, also because the answer is heavily dependant on and changes with circumstances. If a scenario's author chooses a linear style, then having few options is part of the story he's going to give a life of its own, and it doesn't make sense to me to ask him to please tell a different tale. Of course the same is true vice versa. Or for a mix of both. -------------------- Polaris Rache's A3 Site reformatted 2/3 done Rache's A3 Site, original version Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |

Open your Bahssikava folder and search for the t3Deeps.txt file. Open it with a text editor. Scroll down and look for 'beginstate 20;'. This is the passage you are looking for: if (has_special_item(1) == 6) {add_dialog_str(3,"You notice that the triangles in your pack match the size and shape of the missing points of the star. You fit them into the holes in the star, and you hear a clicking sound. You pull the gates open.",0); Change the 6 to 7, save and close the file. Restart your game and try again. Don't forget to set the number back to 6 somewhen later. -------------------- Polaris Rache's A3 Site reformatted 2/3 done Rache's A3 Site, original version Posts: 1828 | Registered: Saturday, January 11 2003 08:00 |
