Oops. Well, I just released v1.0.1, which fixes this and the store that should sell 2 levels of Repel Spirit instead of 1. Thanks for letting me know.

Amazing job Kelandon. I will begin to worship the ground you walk upon...

Anyway, I do plan to leave a review but first I have to beat it. Since I'm stuck on the Machinery level, and don't want to use a guide, its not happening anytime soon. Sorry.

Try the "Hints" file. You could also ask your question on these boards; its what they're here for.

I just finished the Machine puzzle (at 1:30 this morning), and I have to give you credit for having an evil, evil mind. I got killed at least four times, trapped dozens of times and only accidentally blundered into solving the third room at all. Otherwise, I'd still be there.

I'll definitely rate it when I'm done, because so far it's one of the best scenerios yet. I'm not much good at in-depth reviews, though, so don't hurt me.

How do you figure out what each spaces number is? Ex:
then move one of the other mirrors to (22,29)
How do I figure out what space 22,29 is?

The Options menu has a choice called Party Location. That'll tell you the location of your leading character.

Done Finished wooooo!

I have a question Kelandon how different is the game if its played with say a part of four Nephilim or 4 sliths, without any sliths etc. Is there any new plot directions due to party composition, thanks..

My party was 2 humans 1 Nephilim and 1 Slith.

A bunch of the messages are different, but the general thrust of the plot is the same.

I have a quick question. I need to learn more Bahssikavan so that I can fiddle with the controls in the machine room in western bahssikava to let down the laser that blocks the path Under Khar-Grav. I have already released Ithik so I think I need to learn more of the language. Where can I learn more bahssikavan?

Go back to Northern Bahssikava. Fight the chitrachs. When you've finished the chitrachs bit, you should get a key. Use that key in the school in the same town to access a room with mind crystals. One of the mind crystals will teach you Bahssikavan.

Unless you learned some in the Catacombs beforehand, though, that won't do you much good. I'm going to change this for v1.0.2.

Hey Kelandon, Iv been finished Bahssikava for a while now, But I just remembered there was a Phoenix egg somewhere along the line right. Well I could swear I never did get to use it. I assume it was supposed to stop the production of un-dead by incinerating their corpses in whatever dungeon that was. Perhaps this is a bug since I never was prompted to use the egg.

Did everybody else use their phoenix egg by games end.

There's a small room full of corpses on the east side of (I think) Mt Galthrax L2, where you'll be prompted to use the egg if you try to enter while you have the egg.

WHAT

You know, you could have told me this earlier so that I wouldn't have had to base my actions on reference points like specific power sources mentioned in the walkthrough and then painstakingly counting my steps. >_<

I may be dumb, blind, and I don't know what. Where is this Options menu?

It's a... menu. It's at the top of your screen on the upper left.

If you have BoA set to take up the whole screen, you may have to do something special to get to it, but I don't know what that is.

Seems to be a 'Mac only' option. There are no menues at the top of the screen with Windows. And no, I'm not playing full screen.

There has to be some kind of options menu for windows, under a different title maybe.

The last time I've seen menues at the top of the screen was Exile 3. The Avernums never had them.

Played the beta through... It was LONG and GOOD...
Just noticed that the end hints you about a secuel where you go to the civilised lands... Is this a promise?

Surely there must be some way to get the same menus... pressing Escape, holding down Control, something button somewhere.

The plot certainly isn't finished, and the next scenario I make will be a sequel to this if I ever get around to it. It may not be quite what you expect, though.

If anybody ever found out, I'd be happy to know. Pressing Esc brings up the in-game preferences that don't offer an option to show party location. It's not a big thing really, but makes using your hints somewhat awkward at times.

It's a great scenario, Kel, I'll comment when I've finished it.

I've encopuntered a crash bug that seems to happen regularly. I'm talking to Khassper, and immediately after he says "Including you", an error message pops up and the game crashes. Has anyone else reported anything like this? How do I get around it?

I haven't heard of anything like this before, and that part of the scen has remained unchanged since the first beta. Is the error message one of those stupid "Unhandled Exception" things?

And I'm assuming you're using Windows, right?

I have encountered that error too, and yes, it is an unhandled exception. You can work around it by slaying the ghosts and sanctifying the altar before you go to see Khassper. Don't know why that works, but it does.

edit: but get his blessing anyway to open the door on the left and to collect energy potions.
