I rousted Titus from his first lair and I'm at the Hall of the Lamp now. When I try to get through the only inner gate that seems to be possible to open, I get a message about proving myself and that the grove and the power of the great hunter will break the seal. What do I need to do? Mac {edited} Never mind. I got it. [ Saturday, June 09, 2007 17:53: Message edited by: Mac ] Posts: 25 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |

You have to stay alive and more or less well until your bonds weaken and you're released. You need to have fairly high leadership and mechanics skill first, though, Mac Posts: 25 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |

If you're copying it into TextEdit, try going to Format and hitting Make Plain Text. The game seems to recognize the plain text symbols but not the TextEdit content. Worth a try anyway. Mac Posts: 25 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |

Yes, and he comes in very handy for distracting and holding guards at bay while you're duking it out with the Rahuls. Mac Posts: 25 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |

I just finished the Machine puzzle (at 1:30 this morning), and I have to give you credit for having an evil, evil mind. I got killed at least four times, trapped dozens of times and only accidentally blundered into solving the third room at all. Otherwise, I'd still be there. I'll definitely rate it when I'm done, because so far it's one of the best scenerios yet. I'm not much good at in-depth reviews, though, so don't hurt me. I prefer the Agent. I can do nearly the the entire game with little or no help, and since I'm a strange person who's concerned about the welfare of little electronic creatures, I like not having to worry about any of them. I took a roamer and the thlad out of bondage and "freed" them in the woods. How weird is that? Mac Posts: 25 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |

It's better to take the 'shroom charm and go for the Melora Opal, the Crystal of Purity, and/or steal the Dragon Scroll from Morag (if you're strong enough to deal with her and her minions getting seriously pissed off). Getting to the Dragon Scroll is a little complicated and hazardous, but it can be done. I'm not sure what you mean about not being able to get through Khoth's mirror room. Are you just getting killed a lot, or are you not even able to enter? Mac (who has never tried to get through without having something Khoth wants) Posts: 25 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT! quote:Hmmm. On my third attempt (and mostly out of frustration), I killed all the wandering Nephil zombies. After that, I didn't even see the Haunted Nephil/sphere-thingy and didn't get drained at all, before or after I was able to move the mirrors. Is that part of the puzzle, or am I just making a silly assumption? Mac Posts: 25 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |

*First*, you need to speak with someone in the beginning fort...someone who is anti-Empire...*then* you need to speak with someone in Upper Seleucia. Otherwise, you can't get through the secret entrance to the rebels in the sewer. Mac Posts: 25 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |

"I don't know if you have any moral qualms about murdering one of the 3 or 4 dragons left in existence." Nope. He had a whim to kill me; I had a whim to kill him. I was just better at it than he was. ;) Besides, it seems to me that at least one of the remaining dragons (Athron?) keeps hatching broods at regular intervals, which probably explains why she's so dang cranky all the time. "what a shame. I thought it would be fun to have a level 1 character in middle of three dragonhunters..." That's what I'm doing now, and it turns out it's not so much fun as I thought it might be. I'm too anxious about her safety, but that could just be a strange mental quirk all my own. Poor little imaginary electronic person, all helpless in the middle of deadly peril and stuff... Well, I smacked him down on general principles (besides just wanting to see what would happen). I didn't like either the Empire or the Rebels, but that evened things out pretty well I thought. Mac Posts: 25 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |

If you betray the Empire, they'll get mad at you. If you betray the Hillrunners, THEY'LL get mad at you. Somebody's going to get mad at you no matter what you do, so join whoever you like. :D I prefer the rebels, myself. Mac Posts: 25 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |

Are you looking for the notes or for the artifact? If it's the notes, you may want to consider what the quest is, exactly. You're just supposed to search for them. If it's the artifact, then you're not looking at *everything* in the building. Posts: 25 | Registered: Wednesday, June 9 2004 07:00 |
