I have high level party, and I'm deciding to kill that impetous Koth-dragon. Will I get access to his library when I kill him? If I don't I will not waste my time to get my party to the lair of Khoth.

Who's this Dragon? Where does he live?
Are you actually talking about a BoA scenario, or stuck in Avernum trilogy?
I met many dragons, but don't remember that one...

I mean the dragon in Za-Khazi Run. Is his name Khoth?

:D Oops. When I read the title, I first thought you talk about the designer of Babysitting ...
There are two dragons in ZKR: One increases your skill Radiant Shield after returning some special stones. The other one is Khoth indeed.
Tell us please if you succeeded to enter the library after you killed him. I'm curious too.

I killed Khoth. I wasn't able to get in the library, but Khoth dropped two nice items.

Khoth's eye and pendant are indeed much better rewards than anything the empire ever gives you in any of the scenarios. I don't know if you have any moral qualms about murdering one of the 3 or 4 dragons left in existence. :P

yeah, I've kill him too, but I have some remorses...It doesn't fit with the story, the dragons must be way much powerfull...But with a blessed archer and Clouds of Blades, it's not so hard...Perhaps 'cause I played in "normal" difficulty :) ...

I was way too tired by the time I reached Khoth the second time to kill him. When you run through every possible dungeon in ZKR you tend to get a little anxious to finish.

The rewards I got for giving Khoth all the unique items sucked. Come on, Slippers of Speed and Mithril Woven Robe? You have to be kidding me.

You can also get a shield, I believe; the rewards depend on which items you give him *after* you've bought passage with the first one. Unfortunately, the shield also sucks. I liked the slippers, though; honestly, can you think of any item of footwear from any scenario that's more useful?

Of course, I still killed Khoth afterwards. On Torment, this required the use of a Heroic Brew, as Khoth did enough damage to cripple or kill any of my PCs in one round even with Enduring Barrier.

Either the Draconian history scrolls from Morog, the Melora Opal, or a third thing that I don't recall at the moment.

It's a hidden door at the west wall.

"I don't know if you have any moral qualms about murdering one of the 3 or 4 dragons left in existence."

Nope. He had a whim to kill me; I had a whim to kill him. I was just better at it than he was. ;) Besides, it seems to me that at least one of the remaining dragons (Athron?) keeps hatching broods at regular intervals, which probably explains why she's so dang cranky all the time.

Athron's babies will eventually want to murder you too. ^_^
