Can't help you with the others, but there was definitely a Prince Chevyn in the Exile series. "I'm Chevyn! Prince Chevyn! I'm royal!" Hee hee. How could I ever forget that? -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

quote:Very possible. In BoE, where the cap is still 30,000, if you sell items until your gold is higher than 32,767, it wraps around and you end up with a massive negative gold value. This is bad. quote:If it makes you feel any better, you can still augment the Nether Greatsword, thus making the best melee weapon in the game (in terms of raw damage) even better. Of course, that's if you can tolerate the side effects... Oh, and Eldibs doesn't mean the editor. At least, not the editor that Jeff Vogel made. The state of Texas has indeed filed a lawsuit. In California and New York, lawsuits have been filed against Sony, but they're class action lawsuits rather than lawsuits brought by the state itself. Read the Wikipedia article in my above post for more information. Oh, and... quote:So there you go. If your local music store is still selling any of the recalled CDs (or you've already bought some), that's how you can identify them. You should be able to return them to Sony and receive a non-XCP disc in exchange. Hmm. Let me see. Equal parts English, Irish, Russian and Ukrainian, with a bit of German thrown in. I think that about covers it. The story is legit, but the original poster is a little hazy on the details. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_Sony_CD_copy_protection_controversy The problem isn't with blank CDs but with certain music CDs. Sony's currently discontinued use of the controversial copy protection method and issued a recall on all CDs which use it, due to widespread opposition. I mean, when even Microsoft is calling it malware, you know it's pretty bad. I know you can join the Obeyers (or the Awakened, for that matter) without doing their quest, but it does make things more difficult. I think the requirement is 12 leadership, which is pretty high for that point in the game. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! There are actually three Mist Globe items that do three different things, but you can't tell them apart except by using them. So if you save and reload while repeatedly using the same Mist Globe, it'll always do the same thing, but if you find two different Mist Globes, they may do two different things. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Well, yes. Unless and until we start building Dyson spheres around every star in the galaxy to collect as much radiant energy as is physically possible, it's more of a philosophical issue than a practical one. But since when is an ethical debate on an online forum of any practical importance anyway? -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! And even if everyone today did have enough to live on, what about future generations? Every joule of energy that's used for a frivolous purpose brings us just that little bit closer to the inevitable heat death of the universe. Whenever resources are spent on building yachts for billionaires, the maximum future human population which the earth could sustain throughout its existence is reduced. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Right. Unequipping and reequipping wastes an action point. Also, it'd mean that a character could still have access to the weapon's ability while using another, better weapon in melee. Making it two items, one equippable and one usable, and preventing the latter from working without the former, solves both these problems. The "the elimination of" from earlier in the sentence still applies to "the bug "?"" as well as "arrows". Thus, there's no bug "?" because it has been eliminated. :P -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure! Posts: 9973 | Registered: Saturday, March 30 2002 08:00 |

I think the idea is that he wants it to be usable either as a regular wielded weapon *or* as a usable item to cast a spell. I suppose you could just make it a usable item and bring up a dialog box every time it's used asking what kind of attack the player wants to use (the melee attack or the spell attack), but that seems clunky. -------------------- The Empire Always Loses: This Time For Sure!
