Are there very many philosophies devoted to the idea that they're wrong and somebody else is right? :P

Reread the first line of TM's quote; the one that starts "Originally written by". TM is pointing something out.

Someone pointed this out before. The conclusion is that it is indeed there for no reason.

The way you've translated it, that passage almost reads as if homosexuality was the punishment for their sins rather than being the sin itself.

(Still not exactly a liberal interpretation, but certainly a different one.)

First you said that the Rs were different. Now you seem to be saying they're the same and that it's just the vowels that follow them that are different. Which is it?

Actually, the best way to do it is to simply set the buttons to modifier keys (Command, Option/Alt, Control, Shift). You can press more than one of those at once.

The problem isn't with the emulator: it's with computer keyboards. Most don't recognise more than two non-modifier keypresses at once.

By the way, Kaemin, when you say you "did it the legal way", do you mean you actually owned the original cartridge? Because that delete-after-24-hours thing is an urban myth. (Heck, even if you own the cartridge, making a copy for emulation is a grey area.)

What are the ideological differences between two football teams? And yet people still take the sport seriously enough that every year people are injured or killed in soccer riots.

Believe me, if you'd ever seen the way two politicians from different parties talk to each other in private, you'd know that they realise how much they have in common. In the long term, the continuation of the game is just as important to their interests as the victory of their team.

You know, when someone has clearly stated that they'd rather you didn't do something, it's generally considered polite to not do it.

Utility skills in Blades of Avernum

I remember that ASR had some doors requiring up to 18 Tool Use, but those also had keys. It also had one encounter requiring a party total of about 20 Nature Lore. I don't think either ZKR or DwtD have very many Nature Lore or Tool Use checks.

Because of the way skill costs increase as you raise them, I wouldn't recommend requiring much more than 20 Tool Use and maybe 30 Nature Lore for anything in a scenario of any level, or half that for anything that's required to access a major part of the scenario.

Rune Reading is tricky -- I'd actually recommend teaching spells to individual party members based on their own Rune Reading skill, since it kinda screws over singletons if you do it on a whole-party basis. I'm not sure what a reasonable value is, though. Around 10 for mages and 15 for priests, probably.

Considering that most of the Middle East doesn't really go in for the whole separation-of-church-and-state thing, the religious voices and political voices belong to the same people. The real question is, are they motivated by political or religious considerations? Well, I suppose the answer to that depends on how much of a cynic one is -- although in this case, the cynical answer is the optimistic one.

Actually, Qix was also the name of the original arcade version of the game. So both Sparkz and the online Qix are knockoffs.
