There has been a real deficit in meaningful topics lately, so I decided to once again try to engage the community in some deep, introspective debate. Scores will be tallied, meanings discovered, and the results published. This could affect your entire future. So, the only question I have for you is, If you were a song, what song would you be? Edit - unless your choice is immediately understandable and tied irrevocably to your forum personality, please explain in depth, baring your soul for all to see. that is not negotiable, nor is it enforcible. *this message sponsored by ascap* [ Wednesday, February 15, 2006 23:32: Message edited by: Jumpin' Salmon ] -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

"Motion Picture Soundtrack" by Radiohead. Is that self=explanatary? Erm, I love movies and music. And that song is quite depressing, yet uplifting. It's confusing. Hence my choosing it. -------------------- And when you want to Live How do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? Posts: 2864 | Registered: Monday, September 8 2003 07:00 |

Well... either "Feel Good Inc." by Gorillaz or "Liberi Fatali" by Nobuo Uematsu. Could be "Holiday" by Green Day. I don't know. There's too many songs to just pick one that would represent me. -------------------- "I come for the chugga... but I stay for the wiggy wugga."-Cheerleader Posts: 35 | Registered: Saturday, February 11 2006 08:00 |

"Youth Of A Nation" by P.O.D. The "he forgot who he was" part fit's me fairly well but "Bring Me Down" by pillar for the "back in the day when nothing really mattered to me i only saw in my eyes what i wanted to see" and "so you think you can see inside my mind? you probably could if you'd take a little time" really fit's who and what i am unfortunately. The first two songs that came into my mind were ones I already listed on the 'songs that are good for bludgeoning' -thread, so I'll just try to think of something new: Go with the Flow - Queens of the Stone Age (I can sympathize with the chorus mainly) Edit: Removed the other song I had. Only one was asked for. [ Thursday, February 16, 2006 12:03: Message edited by: Proud Owner of: ] Posts: 353 | Registered: Monday, January 9 2006 08:00 |

"The Day I Tried to Live," by Soundgarden. First of all, I like the way it goes musically, which generally tends to precede choosing a song to define yourself, but it also captures the way I feel about life. I'm not all that social, and, at 17, most of my peers don't even bother to distinguish between "life" and "social life." So, when I try to belong, when I sneer contemptuously at the right people, I feel positively awful. Thus, I love this song. Sibelius Symphony No.2 Often quiet, with some predictable and some unpredictable surges in volume; restrained in many places, grandiose in some, let free to run in yet others; made of many different parts, sometimes quite contrary, and none of which make any sense in solitude, but culminate into a unique whole. And because I like classical music. :P Posts: 356 | Registered: Saturday, August 23 2003 07:00 |

Song : a short musical composition made up of mutually dependent words and music which together produce a unique aesthetic response. So, unless the symphony includes words, you are only presenting half of your innermost soul. Sweeney Todd deserves a salute for taste in musical theater, but that perhaps doesn't speak too highly of your stability. It's also not very cute to swing your razor wide. —Alorael, who will have to look into modifying "No Place Like London" to fit Spiderweb. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |
