I seriously don't like the Zelda series. While Super Mario 64 is probably better, the only one I ever owned was Super Mario Land 2, so that's my favorite. I've played every numbered Final Fantasy up to 8 and every spinoff listed except Before Crisis. You left out Dirge of Cerberus, which I also didn't play. I listed my favorite as VI, but it's really Tactics. Whoops? I only ever played Dragon Quest 1. I didn't like it. I've only ever actually played two Megaman games. Not really a fan of the series. I played the entire Pool of Radiance series and FRUA. Laughing at Whyte's suffering in Dark Queen of Krynn probably doesn't count for playing it, so I haven't played any of the others. While FRUA is definitely the best game on that list, Pools of Darkness has a special place in my heart, so I picked it as my favorite. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

As it stands, the sex offender registration is patently retarded because it very simply is a pile of reactionary crap that lumps the people who rape strangers at gunpoint in with exhibitionists and, in some states, eighteen year olds who sleep with their seventeen year old lovers. Making it even worse for the people on it and putting more people on it is therefore not an idea I can approve of at all. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Despite having more or less renounced music in favor of trying to be more active in my downtime, I'm still listening to Colors, the happy opening theme to a creepy goth anime. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

The real question is whether I would rather play Adventure Quest, talk to -X-, or hurl myself off a bridge. Somehow I feel that the last one is both less painful and over more quickly. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

The Lyfan, while it will kill you, isn't really a villain. It has no direct opposition to your goals and does not harm you or anyone aligned with you over the course of the story unless you attack it yourself and die. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

TM, who one must assume will be entering this contest, has some opinions on the voting: quote:It'd probably be better to have this discussion on the Lyceum forums, considering that TM, who is definitely going to enter this contest, is banned here. My other XP machine has been up for weeks at a stretch. Barring badly-coded full-screen programs that lock the entire machine and required resets for Windows Updates, it pretty much can always stay on. I've logged something like 5 weeks uptime on it. I haven't had this one for long enough to really come to a conclusion, but it seems to have odd problems with the sound card deciding to quit functioning until the computer is rebooted if it encounters errors. So yeah, I have to reboot this one every few days because of that, which means that it probably will not ever have an uptime measured in multiple weeks. Mm, bottled water. It's probably worth mentioning that I actually can't drink Aquafina because it makes me sick to my stomach. So much for it being better than tap water, which doesn't. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Seriously, the one on my webspace is complete and works, although there are still many errors. I compressed the folder of the version I actually used to beat the scenario, so I know my version has every file needed to complete the scenario. www.rit.edu/~ipm6435/A%20Large%20Rebellion.zip (You may need to do on-the-spot script mods to solve a quest or two, though. I'm really not sure whether I had to or not.) [ Saturday, September 30, 2006 19:13: Message edited by: Imban ] Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

While I think a scenario described as the sequel to the Za-Khazi Run existed for BoE and was better than the ZKR, I think making a sequel to Undead Valley would be inadvisable regardless of, well, anything. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Apparently enough people chose not to suck that now TM's site has overloaded. I'm uploading it to my webspace temporarily. www.rit.edu/~ipm6435/Echoes_Renegade_PC.zip www.rit.edu/~ipm6435/Echoes_Renegade_Mac.sit EDIT: Mac version up. Well, hey. If you have a truly compelling plot, I'll gladly play through your game or scenario as long as the rest doesn't get in the way. Some games that I've really liked have had no real attraction except the plot. I just don't really go to video games with the intent of reading a book. I go there chiefly to smash things, and I generally feel that gameplay (usually represented by well-designed combat in BoX) is the main reason to, well, play a game. (That, and I find it difficult to connect with my BoX characters on any real level - after all, they often have such names as "Ninja 1" or "Pope Giver XXX". :P ) Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Starcraft's graphics are small and vague enough that it allows for a lot of suspension of disbelief. :P I've never seen an Exile or Avernum d20 that was complete or that good. I've considered making one myself but I've been busy with things that might actually have a point instead. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

TM needs more betatesters for Echoes: Renegade, now that he's fixed the bugs that previously prevented PC users from beating the scenario. Leave your information here if you're interested and he'll get back to you. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |

Johnny Favourite is possibly the only successful "plot-only" scenario that I can think of, and it received a moderate reception at best. Of course, Doom Moon II's reception could also be called moderate, and it's probably my favorite BoX scenario of all time. Posts: 3234 | Registered: Thursday, October 4 2001 07:00 |
