I don't think you need to implement instakill for webbing - to the best of my recollection, it can never result in any bugs, so just let the monsters kill the PCs if they're impossibly webbed.

The only way that would happen, though, is if you sold your wang. And then you, of course, would be wangless.

There are very good turn-based multiplayer games. Jeff has previously stated that he has no interest in making a multiplayer game, however, so it is unlikely that he will do so.

I've been really busy with school, which is why this sorta died.

I've completed Valley of the Dying Things with Pariah, and Mad Ambition/Emerald Mountain with both of them.

VoDT was pretty annoyingly long, and I didn't really get much more experience after the point of it I was at.

Mad Ambition was really easy for both Avatar and Pariah. As I explained to TM, you can complete it with not one but five Malachai's Rapiers. Also, Zenbu no Yoroi for everyone - especially Pariah, who really needs the elemental protection.

Emerald Mountain was great fun for Avatar - easy, XP-bearing, and full of neat stuff. Less so for Pariah, who didn't get any XP and spent a lot of time hating how he currently has 2 ap due to sluggish + encumbrance.

My favorite BoE scenario is the best one ever, Doom Moon II.

It meets precisely zero of your criteria - the story is there, if spotty, but it's all about silly hard combat.

Wouldn't that really also be learned? Anyone who goes through 16 or more years of life has to learn something, and if there's literally no opportunity for them to learn compassion for other humans and plenty of opportunity for them to learn to be selfish in order to survive...

That's odd... gimme a bit.

Pool of Radiance loads up in DosBox fine for me, except I can't actually choose anything in the character creation menus. Bleh.

The best part is that making a derivative story of Avernum and Geneforge is perfectly fine and legal in Blades of Avernum. And we need more scenarios, anyway.

See, I'm odd. I <3 FF8. But I got out of playing Final Fantasy around then, because my lack of consoles caught up with me. :(
