Yeah, this is not looking good. I don't have many characters, but I think I can deal with that. The bigger problem is, I've no idea what everyone is doing on their free time - you know, when the plot isn't busy twisting. Which it doesn't do that much. The wikipage is kinda fun though. Useful. Maybe now I can slowly start remembering all of their long, aristocratic names and won't have to refer back every time I feel like mentioning someone. :\ It starts on wednesday, wednesday, wednesday.. and wednesday is the day after tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow.. we'll maybe be starting after midnight, midnight, midnight... *hums* EDIT: Oh, isn't my new NaNo-themed name fun? Yay, I overtook you after all, Riibu! :P 1987 last count, and the first chapter (or Prologue, rather, though it's now somewhat long for that) is done. The counter is telling me that by writing 2000 words in the first four hours of time raised my average to 10000 words per day, and set the ETA of my novel to November 5th. I wish I could share in its optimism, but I have a bit of sleep to catch up with. Aaaaand- that's the first day over! (except in US, but we'll just have to ignore that fact for some hours now) How are we all doing? I've kept finely up with the quota. The others appear to be not lazy enough to come here now, so I'll just pop back in for a moment. I just got to the 10,000 milestone today, so if I maintain this speed, I'll be done ten days early. A part of tomorrow will probably be spent on plot planning instead of writing - now that I've got a lot of the beginning out of the way, I'll soon reach the point where I've only got a vague idea about what happens next. So I need to take a short break to regroup and plan the next few chapters in more detail... I'm actually contemplating screwing up my story entirely. There could be a huge disaster, everyone died, and I'd have to write about something happening somewhere else. Anywhere else. Will all new, more fun characters. But I'm still keeping up with the quota, more or less. :\ Even though it still troubles me a little to know that my story *will* end around 40k words.
