TM, of course, suggests a spiritual sequel to Nethergate featuring the Aztecs versus the Spaniards.

ChronoTrigger questions in General

I vaguely remember Chrono Trigger having a good soundtrack but I don't remember any specific songs from it any more.

Maybe I should go grab a .SPC of the ending or something.

Yet another senseless poll in General

I answered two of the questions positively, and it's up to you to determine which two!

Speaking of that, White Wolf's tabletop RPGs seem an odd omission from that list, since they're by far the second most popular game in the industry.

Echoes: Renegade: Profanus Pyre is an ******* in Blades of Avernum

I just relied on the standard boss-killing method when I played with my 4-PC party in the betatest: Spray Profanus Pyre with Clouds of Blades and hack at him with everything I've got, and hope for the best.

It only took 6 reloads or so. :)

Sadly, it's practically impossible to keep to the eating restrictions here on campus, so I don't even bother.

Info on Upcoming Scenario in Blades of Avernum

Hey, some of my favorite scenarios have that.

That's what I thought was odd about your April Fool's joke, Smoo - if it was entirely done as a joke, you went to a good length to set it up.

You know, I have to agree with Salmon here. Could you try and have a shorter signature, Lone Flame? As a general rule of thumb, your signature should not regularly be longer than your posts.

Because Mac users can create Mac versions of scenarios from the PC version if they feel like it. The reverse isn't possible.

Exile or Avernum in General

You know, I honestly can't say for sure I like Avernum's skill system better. Sure, it's neater in a lot of ways, and Exile's had skill loopholes out the wazoo...

...but I liked how the fixed costs and (relatively) low limits meant that you could expand into multiple fields of ass-kicking on each character rather than needing to hardcore specialize for diminishing returns.

To players of Avernum/Geneforge series in General

All of you, drop the hostility.

A lot of members have strong preferences for Exile, especially Blades of Exile, even though the Avernum series exists. I, myself, prefer some of the mechanics of Exile, as well as the excellent graphics work it has in both Spiderweb's own graphics set and the custom graphics available for Blades of Exile.

The Exile series may not really have an active community any more, but almost all of the older members have fond memories of it. I was sad that this poll did not have options for it, because that is likely to adversely affect the results your poll is going to get.

This one is kinda weird to me, since I joined Spiderweb back in 1999. Of course, lots of stuff has changed in my life since then - like attending high school and college - but the Spiderweb community has changed a lot too.

I said 19 for a reason. Everyone whose member number is 19 and under is almost inarguably a board veteran.

There are others, but that is a number cutoff, and what he asked for. :P

If you're using any third-party editors, figure out which ones and ask their makers to disable that silliness.

Otherwise, uh, you must have edited the data files yourself. (Or someone at your computer did.)
