Nioca: TM, like most people here, is actually a very reasonable person, in case you hadn't noticed. I mean sure, his posts could use a couple gallons of disinfectant every now and then, but beyond that, he's fine. He's as core of a member as any other "oldbie," or whatever we're calling that now. And when he does go off, he does so in a fairly restrained way. Like, instead of posting six topics full of gibberish, he'll make one topic with a really pointed (and possibly offensive) comment. And honestly, I think that's easier on everyone. And honestly, if we brought him back, we'd probably have fewer of these disputes between oldbies and newbies, if only because TM would say something that just makes everyone stop and think for a while (even if they're just trying to figure out if they've been insulted or not). -------------------- Gamble with Gaea, and she eats your dice. I think the difference is not that old troublemakers were better, but that mods used to pay more attention to the boards, so those trouble-makers got banned very quickly. Llama/Bomber pair were more annoying than Nalyd, but those two got banned so quickly that now we fondly remember them as a colorful episode from the past. So the solution is not to bring back Ed. It's for the mods to remember that they are supposed to do more than just show off their IP checking powers and collect pretty pictures for topic locking. -------------------- Be careful with a word, as you would with a sword, For it too has the power to kill.
