Time for another holiday greeting topic.

We're celebrating the Jewish exodus from Egyptian slavery and the start of a 40 trek to their homeland. Proving God has a sense of humor, his Chosen people get one of the few areas in the Mid East without oil.

Happy holidays everyone.

Being the chosen people is not always fun. In fact, sometimes it uses language that is not kosher according to the CoC. You've been warned.

If he's responsible for there only being half a puppy to kick, then he has outdone himself here. :P

Sadly, it's practically impossible to keep to the eating restrictions here on campus, so I don't even bother.

And so the true benefits of being a heathen finally reveal themselves. I can eat whatever I want(within physical limitations). WOOT!

On a more related note, Props to Moses for robbing the Egyptians blind on his way out

Be careful with a word, as you would with a sword,
For it too has the power to kill.
However well placed word, unlike a well placed sword,
Can also have the power to heal.

Happy Passover! Or whatever.

The dining hall here at school has Passover food, but none of it is Kosher. Kinda funny.

Just about every other person on my campus is Jewish, so it's not really a problem here... however, not being Jewish, I just look at the short lines in the food courts and rejoice.

Happy Passover anyway!

I'm nominally Jewish, but I try to always celebrate the first evening of Passover with a bread sandwich. That's a slice of bread between two other, preferably different, slices of bread. Mmm. Then I half-heartedly avoid leavened foods, although I just don't see how cereal, which constitutes around 30% of my diet, is leavened.

I am forced into Lent by my parents, unfortunately. Not very fun at all.

Out of morbid curiosity, how prevalent is painting your door with lamb's blood nowadays?

Sorry Dintiradan, but it's not very prevalent anymore. You just might have the cops after you...or PETA.

Better check your vision. You over-reacted.

Messianic complex? Is this part of that Koresh thing again?

What in the heck!? I'm afraid you're confused as to what I meant. I am of jewish descent because my maternal grandmother is actually a jew. The fact that I am a Christian has nothing to do with David Koresh.

You know, there was another guy who started out Jewish and had a messiah complex...

—Alorael, who is pretty sure it wasn't Mr. Koresh, name notwithstanding.

Yeah, he was even named after that Joshua guy who was a savior of sorts back in the early days of Israel. He sure had some clever military tactics: lamps in pitchers at night suddenly shattered to terrify a vastly greater army, and marching around Jericho seven times till the walls fell down. He thoughtfully saved Rahab, the helpful non-Jewish harlot from the city, who just happened to become a direct ancestor of King David and that later saviorly dude who came along. The savior born of a "virgin" was also born of a harlot. If that's at all interesting.
