We already had that discussion. In short, it was stupid, and it doesn't need to be repeated.

Why, oh why, did this film, of all films made in the past decade, especially register with you, SoT?

Instead of a member #, how about a year? Why not use the year 2003 for the cutoff year? Anyone before January 2004 are oldbies, 2004 to 2005 are 'middle aged', January to October 2006 are 'young adults', November 2006 to Febuary 2007 are 'teenagers', and everyone else are NOOBS!

Going back to original topic, it's strange to think of all the changes that happened in my life since I've registered here. Ironically, this board looks like one of the very few stable constants.

When you no longer care about that question.

I said 19 for a reason. Everyone whose member number is 19 and under is almost inarguably a board veteran.

There are others, but that is a number cutoff, and what he asked for. :P

There was some news story on the web about Titanic's tenth anniversary, and I said, Yikes. It has always been that recent big movie that I never saw, and now it's that old big movie that I never saw.

Amen to this. I'm now living in my fourth state since I joined the boards. I've aged 7 years, started school, quit school, had 4 different jobs, 2 cars...

I have to agree with this. Whether or not I think it is a good thing or not is yet to be seen...

Yeah, I must agree with Zeviz. i guess it's because it's the same people here, who always just act the same, talk about the same things, and a lot more stays the same, like the noobs.

I'm imagining how all the "sameness" could be shattered by an enormous donut from outer spice, coming to earth to crush the Eiffel tower.

Yeah, I kinda have to agree with the people who've already agreed with Zeviz. Of course, if I say it like that, it almost sounds like a bad thing. :D

Erm... Thralni, that sounded very out of character for you.

Um, why? It actually is a good example of my normal train of thought upon collition with my sense of humor, so...

That, and I was bored stiff.

This is, of course, the same Thralni that talks about the almighty chicken gods and elderburry pie. "Outer spice" is absolutely hilarious, though.

The cutoff date for oldbieness is whatever discombobulation that pops into your head. As far as "oldbieness" goes, we become oldbies as soon as we start to dull our minds in useless conversation. So that makes me an oldbie, since I just participated in an almost useless conversation about oldbieness.

Wow, boy am I rambling.

No, this is the SW boards, so an oldbie is probably the following:

"He who can argue with everybody and everything about irrelevant stuff, using only logic as proof."

That's at least how I feel about it, but I like the number 5, so that's okay with me too.

EDIT: Okay, I took out a bit as it was unjustified.

There's a big difference between understanding human feelings and recognizing that they carry about zero weight in discourse.

Looked like a generalization to me! Next time, you might want to try context.
