The characters don't wander too far from their original locations. It is possible (obviously) to 'loose' a character. I would just say to keep running around until he's found. :confused:

How is it when this game was here, most people (including me) played it past a few minetes. Those who did play it didn't give it good reviews. Now nearly 8 years later, it seems to finally be catching on. Is it because it's free? ;)

Also I'd like to mention that I've gotten the game from Lurker and have beat it. (He told me about it being freeware after I mentioned something about it about a month or two ago.) I have to say that starting out it is tough, but after a while you get the hang of it and it becomes easy!

I do enjoy challenges and this game does provide them in heaping amounts. :cool:

This may be stupid for me to say, but if you're still that early in the game, why not just start over? :confused: By the time someone even does send a save file to you, you would probably be past there anyway! :cool:

I would have to say that my favorite of all has to be...Avernum 4. I know..I know, hate me if you will but the gameplay is so simple. You also get some health and spell power back after each battle! :D
My next favorite was Exile 3 (what a big difference). My favorite Geneforge game (since I've only played the first one) is Geneforge 1.

As for Homeland, although I found it to be pretty hard to move and fight, and the way money is (even early on) totally sucks, I found that the story line to be fairly captivating. It is just one of those games that one has to get used to before ever becoming any good at it. :( NOTE: I've only played the demo version of this game so don't think that I myself am an expert on it's inner workings. :cool:

Hardest Spiderweb Game EVER!! in General

I'd have to say that E1 was the hardest to play because it was the first game of that type I had ever played and I knew nothing on how to survive or solve puzzles. All of the games after that were simple. Second hardest game would have to be G1. :cool:

I haven't played the entire game of Homeland (only have the demo) or it would have to be my hardest game ever played! :( :cool:

I don't know if this has already been said, but I'm gonna say it anyway. Don't make movement in A5 like Geneforge and A4! Let us use the Numeric Keypad to move. It's easier , and keeps me from constantly hearing that 'click' sound that my mouse makes.

It's probably even too late to say something like that, huh? :confused: :cool:

At least in Avernum/Geneforge, a special topic wouldn't come up unless someone actually went through some effort to get the info (ie. The Scimitar. In Exile, you could just say 'Icarus' and the other members outside the main base would think that you were one of them. In Avernum, you had to actually perform the mission before they tell you the password)!

I would say more, but I'm not gonna get in a pissing match about which game is better. :cool:

Forget what I just wrote. I'm taking a two day vacation from this place. Maybe when I get back this whole mess will have blown over.

If I sounded like that other guy, then I again appologize. But look how Salmon has been answering me back. Read at how he says it was all a big misunderstanding, but then continues to rub it in my face even after I appologized to him and then asked for an explanation.

After a day of thought, I read through this thread and noticed something. When I made my joke and Salmon 'jokingly' called me a NOOB, I didn't notice at the time the :P . I got mad at him and we exchanged some posts in this thread.

My question to Salmon is, If it was a joke (as you say it was), then why did you send these posts after you knew I was angry instead of right then and there saying it was a joke?
