Is there some other historical evidence?

The Silent Assassin once declared war upon some guy whose name I don't remember.
After a significant amount of research that involved dissecting phone books and destroying the kitchen, he left the Bunker with a "secret weapon."
I did not find out what he had been doing until I noted an item in the news the next day: the assistant to a senator from Ohio had been involved in a run-by pie-ing on the steps of the Capitol Building.
The Silent Assassin told me that it had been a short war.

Creepy.

I'm a big fan of medium-contrast enviroments, myself.

If you want a good color to help contrast and even bring out the red, a cyan-type blue could come in handy.

You Are A:

Chaotic Good Half-Elf Cleric Thief

Alignment:
Chaotic Good characters are independent types with a strong belief in the value of goodness. They have little use for governments and other forces of order, and will generally do their own things, without heed to such groups.

Race:
Half-Elves are a cross between a human and an elf. They are smaller, like their elven ancestors, but have a much shorter lifespan. They are sometimes looked down upon as half-breeds, but this is rare. They have both the curious drive of humans and the patience of elves.

Primary Class:
Clerics are the voices of their God/desses on Earth. They perform the work of their deity, but this doesn't mean that they preach to a congregation all their lives. If their deity needs something done, they will do it, and can call upon that deity's power to accomplish their goals.

Secondary Class:
Thieves are the most roguish of the classes. They are sneaky and nimble-fingered, and have skills with traps and locks. While not all use these skills for burglary, that is a common occupation of this class.

Detailed Results:

Alignment:
Law and Chaos:

Let's put it this way, Scratch, the Merchants were designed to fit the area. Obviously, it's a poor island, so everyone is gonna try to rip you off as best they can, to make the best profits.
It is quite possible to get more than half an item's worth from a merchant. You just have to have enough barter and a generous merchant.

I've always been under the impression that the "ancient" stuff, whether it be villian, artifact, power, etc., has always been something like the cream of the crop from its era.

1. It survived its era: it has to be significant.
2. If it's powerful enough to survive eons, then its powerful enough to be a mojor force now, right?
3. If it's that old, it is obviously mysterious and nobody nowadays is able of comprehending how it works, only that it does.
4. All that mythological stuff happened around the Dawn of Time, right? :P

The Silent Assassin claims to be as old as Time, if not older.

My roommate would like me to interject on behalf of Messianic Jews converted from Islam, and says that only the ceremonial food sucks. They do it as tradition.
Now, the meal that comes in the middle of the ceremony, he says, is generally very good, especially if you don't have to worry about the Kosher laws.

Edit: I forgot to mention that my rommate is actually actively avoiding Spiderweb, under the claims that the game look low-quality.
I think he doesn't want to risk enjoying a game that doesn't use 100% processing power in his PC's video card.

How many people would like spiderweb software to make a game for the nintendo DS in General
Lifecrafter

Make that 10 to 0.

1. DS Sucks.
2. Porting an Exile/Avernum game to a console platformer RPG would require a major revamp of the control interface, which could potentially mean changing the balance and playing style of the entire game.

Now, if Jeff were somehow able to create an original RPG/FPS game, based in Exile/Avernum, and put it on either computer or console... I'm sure that too many people who didn't know any better would think of it as a rip-off of the Elder Scrolls series.

I didn't actually play (or register) the Avernum games until about two years ago.
