Yeah it does! :D :D :D :D For a second there, I though I had a custom title. However, even though, I still have something showing me better than those 2000s underachievers. :P I don't know if I initially like this all that much. This is the first major rebunking of the title list since the start of UBB, no? All that tradition, all those goals, everything down the drain. But then again, on second though, I like the increments in this one better, guaranteeing me a title on my next two thousands, and people can get used to it. So keep it. Lastly, I would also want to say that Alorael can stop changing his moniker now. Even if you don't have a custom title, you sure haven't deserved it. Look how many regular titles you haven't hit. :P No offense, of course... -------------------- -ben4808 Posts: 3360 | Registered: Friday, June 25 2004 07:00 |

I don't think Alorael should get a custom title. Now before I get flame, it's just because I think there are too many custom titles out there and being Alorael, he deserves something special. I honestly can't think of any custom title that would do him justice. The best I could come up with is for Stareye and/or Drakey to make Blademaster a custom title just for Alorael. Edit: Dolphin: I totally agree, I just said that there are too many custom titles out there to be special enough for Alorael [ Monday, April 17, 2006 18:36: Message edited by: Leena ] -------------------- "Tyranicus is about the only one that still posts in the Nethergate Forum." —Randomizer Spiderweb Chat Room Shadow Vale - My site, home of the Spiderweb Chat Database, BoA Scenario Database, & the A1 Quest List, among other things. Alo deserves a title before most others. Also, I'm sorry to say it, Ben, but the image of you frolicking was getting worrisome. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Alorael should have a custom title that changes, like, every day. Or based on the weather, or something random like that. XD I also liked having a new rank at 100 posts, and 1000. Those seem like some of the most logical cutoffs. -------------------- A C, an E-flat, and a G walk into the Tower of the Magi. Ambrin walks up to them and says, "Hey! It's the Triad!" Although the topic has started to move on to other things, I feel a sudden urge to post on-topic. I have no preferences as to which system was better. But it's good to have a change. I was tired of being a Veteran. I prefer Explorer. By the way, what's a Swashbuckle? Posts: 587 | Registered: Tuesday, April 1 2003 08:00 |

Let's try this for at least a few days. I like being an Explorer better than some of the earlier choices like Merchant. Custom titles are fun and they help me distinguish some people that keep changing their PDN's. Posts: 4643 | Registered: Friday, February 10 2006 08:00 |

Lol, I just clued into what PDN stands for. :D My title is about to change as I hit the 2,000 mark. Oh, and only four more post until my birth year. I think that there should be a title for 1000 posts. I mean, the space between titles gets consistently larger except for that one spot. -------------------- "You're drinking liquor because you're thirsty? All titles should be custom (sorry for the extra work *i) and based on perceived value to the forum, modified by registration date, location of first post, and posting rate. Valid valuesNoobNewbieNoidDazedConfusedSagaciousTrusted AdvisorSenile AdvisorEnd of DazeUsing this system, a person such as Slarty would be somewhere around the Confused title, whereas I would be back near Noid or Dazed. There should be no fixed posting rate which should award a new title, as it has been deemed that goals are bad for morals. Another perceived benefit of the system is that there will be a shart upturn in toadying, followed by a long period of brown-nosing and shoe polishing. Bribery would not be out of the question, and titles would once again be just as meaningful as karma. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

quote:"Sorry for the extra work" indeed. Do you know how long this would take to set up and maintain? Personally, I am a fan of equalization and anti-discrimination. We should get rid of titles completely, replaced with something like "sackcloth and ashes #", where the number is completely randomly generated by a program obtained from a verifiable independant source. -------------------- "Dikiyoba ... is demon ... drives people mad and ... do all sorts of strange things." What if I had an ever-changing title? What if all the titles were ever-changing? The possibilities aren't endless, but they're sufficiently large that for all intents and purposes they might as well be. —Alorael, who will run in the next admin election to find out for himself. Problem: Alorael wants a custom title. However, a custom title would cause him to stop changing his PDN every day. Solution: Give Alorael a custom title. Call it Alorael. Alorael continues changing PDNs. (Remember, the italics are important.) Hmmm... now I'm Exploring, instead of being a good Citizen of Exile.
