Amen to Logitech mice. They have to be the most comfortable mice in the world.

I hate the Mighty Mouse. I find it incredibly uncomfortable. I love Apple, but the seem incapable of making a decent mouse. (Remember the old hockey puck mice?) However, I absolutely love the new slim aluminum keyboard. It is incredibly comfortable to type on.

My 1st-gen MacBook Pro is running Leopard, and my desktop PC may be running Leopard, but if you were to ask me in any official way, I would say it isn't. :P

Another vote for VisualHub. I use it to put movies on my iPhone all the time. If you want to rip a DVD, you'll want to use HandBrake (which also works in Windows, btw).

I highly doubt they would use The Silmarillion, since it takes place hundreds and thousands of years beforehand.

For the record, Prescott Bush, father of George H. W. Bush and grandfather of George W. Bush, owned 1 share in a bank that did business with some German companies. While this could technically be construed as "financing Nazis," I wouldn't say that the Bush family kept Hitler from going broke. :P

The only games that I have played that are enhanced by DX10 are Cysis and Bioshock, and they look freaking beautiful in Vista.

Now here is the problem: next to OS X, I'll have to have a partition with Windows. Should it be Vista or XP? The only advantage I could find in using Vista is DirectX 10. For the rest most reviews were quite bad and said something like "if you don't really need it, XP will do fine". I want to be able to run games that may perform a lot better using DirectX 10, but is it worth it? Anybody got advice?
If you're going to use Windows solely for gaming, then go with Vista. I use Vista for gaming because of DX10, and I don't really have a problem with it.

You should check out CrossOver. It runs a lot of programs that Darwine can't.

I use OS X, but most of my customers run Windows XP, so I keep up with this sort of thing.

You know, that's a very bad idea. You really should have al the updates installed. Unpatched Windows inatallations are sitting ducks for malware.

Playing is the Romans is still enjoyable. There are a few perks. For one thing, it is much easier to play a Roman singleton in N:R than a Celtic one.

Another option would be to run actual DOS (or Windows 9x) in a virtual environment, such as VMware.

It makes you slightly less powerful as well. It is possible to complete the game without removing the curse, but it's pretty hard.
