I just finished reading Earth in Mind: On Education, Environment, and the Human Prospect by David W. Orr. I'm currently reading Everyone Eats: Understanding Food and Culture by E. N. Anderson and browsing through A Field Guide to the Plants of Arizona by Anne Orth Epple.

Dikiyoba reads a lot of non-fiction. Fiction is good too, whenever Dikiyoba can afford to do nothing else for an entire day (and night).

The Geneforge was completed. You can use it in G1. You do, however, go completely insane with power. On the other hand, Trajkov can use it and he barely manages to keep his sanity. So some people can use it and some people can't--but you don't know who those people are until afterwards.

Like spawners, pylons have their own script. They don't move (at least in G1) when their walking speed is changed.

However, Dikiyoba did get some turrets to chase Dikiyoba's character around, and that was an amusing experience.

You can find spore boxes to switch the turrets from hostile to neutral as well.

If you can take out a neutral turret (or pylon, later in the game) in one round, then the others usually don't go hostile.

I take decent care of my glasses, so I can keep them for two or three years before getting new ones (although they tend to need to be bent back into shape every two or three months). They are probably still useable for longer than that, but I have had a pair literally fall apart on my face and I don't care to repeat the experience.

Plus, Dikiyoba gets new lenses almost every year, so it's good to keep a somewhat current backup pair around in case the current pair breaks.

Dikiyoba is pretty sure he exists. You don't meet him until Chapter 4 though, and Dikiyoba doesn't remember exactly which city he's in. There's a special dialogue option when you meet him, though.

Ornks aren't crosses of anything. They were created from nothing by the Nine-Headed Cave Cow. Shapers claim to have shaped them, but they didn't really. They just happen to look a lot like pigs and sound like cows.
