No, the Ornk Lord doesn't talk. It is described as being somewhat god-like. And the ornkskin gloves had a penalty to intelligence.

I'm glad to announce that after three consecutive months of being stuck in the lead (although I drew even with Dikiyoba in February), Thuryl, now back in the top ten, knocked me off the top spot again.

It worked in favor of the poll, actually. Since Dikiyoba hasn't played G3, Dikiyoba doesn't have a favorite side and so can't answer the question. So Dikiyoba just checked them both.

It won't be heroes saving us from their evil schemes. It will be some other villians who beat them to it. The deviants (and related conspiracy theories) on these boards are too numerous to mention. (Besides, it's going to be someone who no one suspects, anyway.)

Dikiyoba remembers it doing a low amount of damage, but it's main purpose is to terrify things, not to damage them.

Dikiyoba seems to recall there being mention of nephil and slith bodies ready to be turned into undead in the ruined nephil fort in Avernum 2, but it's been too long since Dikiyoba has played it as well.

Dikiyoba doesn't think that Augmentation is a spell in Geneforge 1. There are shielding pods, though, that reduce the amount of damage taken.

Dock Ruins , and Boat -- Geneforge 1 in Geneforge Series

There are many ways to do this. There is a servant mind who can help you, if you have mind nutrients. You can clear some mines if you have a red spore baton (a green and a brown spore baton would probably also be helpful). Or you could just make a bunch of creations, bless and haste them, and kill all the guards.

Once you are past the guards, the boat should be easy. It may take a few tries to get past the guards, though, so it never hurts to have a back-up save.

There should be one in the same zone as Mind Azzo.

Work your way past all the doors with hasted fyora ambushes. There's a room at the end (Dikiyoba isn't sure whether it is closed with a locked lever or not). In the room are damaging floors. The crystal should be in a chest or pot on the other side of the floors.

Dikiyoba tried it once, just to see what the ending was. Then Dikiyoba reverted back to the saved game and continued where Dikiyoba left off.

Edit: Typo.

I always name my character Jaknasi (or Jaknasa, if I'm playing an Agent) because it sounds good, and also because it means "powerful one" in the language I'm inventing and Shapers are powerful, particularly ones who uses as many canisters as mine typically do.

Freewebs is being difficult (Dikiyoba can't edit two of Dikiyoba's accounts, but Dikiyoba can edit the third. Go figure.), so Dikiyoba stuck Act 5, Scenes 1 and 2 here for now.

There is a difference between Dikiyoba and Dikiyoba's script, however slight that difference may be. :P

Interestingly enough, I learned a very similar thing. I learned I shouldn't stay up until 3 am writing the script and then go to sleep because I end up dreaming about it. (Plus, I end up with horrendous typos.)

Maybe if you disguised it as your "essay" really well...

Dikiyoba wanted to post a graemlin at the end of the above line to indicate a non-serious suggestion. Sadly, due to graemlin hyperinflation in this topic, Dikiyoba's single graemlin is completely worthless for that purpose.

I'd call MM* a lurking newbie or a new lurker myself. But labels really aren't important, as long as people don't label you an uncontrollable n00b.

And Ben isn't really the ur-noob, or he'd be speaking entirely in capital letters.

Benerii-Uss. I think.

- Where are the tokens for open the big gate in Gazak-Uss? (I have the Fang and the Feather).

From Schrodinger's FAQ:

quote:
Q: How do I get into Gazak-Uss?
A: First talk with the hermit to the SW. This gets you into outer Gazak-Uss. Then collect 3 broken crystal pieces this gets you into inner Gazak-Uss.
The FAQ can answer a lot of these sorts of questions better than Dikiyoba can, since Dikiyoba answers most of these sorts of questions from memory.

5/13/06 Vol. 1, Issue 1

DISCONTENT AMONG THE BOVINGELICALS
Dikiyoba, Free-Range Reporter

The first great fence has arisen, dividing the bovingelicals into two fields. Voicing concerns that the current church leadership has too much weight and has stopped listening to ordinary herd members, several members have defected from the Church of the Nine-Headed Cave Cow and formed the Atkins Reformed Church of the Nine-Headed Cave Cow. Says one reformed bovingelical, "We were just fed up. His and Her Meaty Appendage's preaching is bull. Just give us the holy hamburger, and hold the puns."

His and Her Meaty Appendage could not be reached for comment. However, one bovingelical reportedly said, "Those reformists simply want some of the Church of the Nine-Headed Cave Cow's moola for themselves." The bovingelical's words apparently spooked the reformists and he or she was trampled to death in the resulting stampede.

So say good-bye to the perfect harmony that the Church of the Nine-Headed Cave Cow enjoyed previously. What does the future hold? No one knows. Only one thing is known for sure—there's no use crying over split milk.

Coming next week: Shocking new evidence that the moon really is made of cheese.

Edit: Typo.
