I can probably come up with a meaningful post for that GC topic, but the temptation to put a kitty pic, at the end, would be too great. And personally, I don't want to get into carp for anything, again. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

How about shortening it to "CJ", Kel? Well, hello CJ, I'm FBM, so if that's David SirDavid, you might have been warned. Probably not though. Just try not to be a stuffy neo-facist and I'm sure you'll get along with everyone. However, you will have to leave half your sanity at the door. It's not the whole sanity, because you already knew someone here, which means that you've probably not got a full sanity to start off with. Have a nice day. :) -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Well, I learnt a long time ago that fora was the correct word, but it does look better, to the average person, who is unused to it, to use forums. I'm guilty of many counts of murdering the English language and making up new words, to express somethings or just to call someone silly, without them realising. It's an irrational language, anyway. One that changes very easily. I guess I enjoy the flexibility I can get with some words. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Nice one, Kel. And I'm off to fight the armies of Sauron the Destroyer, from Mordor. Personally, I would be of the opinion that it'll be at least three weeks. Probably well over a month. Unless I'm mistaken, it might still have to go to beta? Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Evenin' Ben. How are you doing? That was, indeed, Djur's policy, but a good many people have adopted it. It's not a bad policy, I guess, just maybe a little too judging. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Eh, I don't really bother with karma nowadays. It's fun to check on your own, every once in a while to see where it's at, but other than that, the only time I'll bother with karma is if someone is getting a bunch of low ratings, undeservedly, in my opinion. Indeed, we are scum, Supa, but there's different levels of scum. Some of us are mere pond scum, some are that scum that you really didn't want to find, when swimming in the sea. Drakey, mind checking your PM's, when you've got a moment? -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

None of the above/Aye I deal with people on a case by case basis, I don't make judgements on gender. Well, let me put it this way, I guess. If someone says something that is meant to be non-offensive, no matter how it is phrased, then it should be taken that way. If however, someone says something that is meant to be offensive and uses homosexual terms to do so, then that is not only offensive, but is displaying great quantities of ignorance. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Karma, by the way it is worked out, is pretty meaningless. Most people will only vote karma, when someone says something that they either like alot or dislike. Some people just vote randomly, to be perverse. Though, to be honest, I probably deserve the little over 2, that I have. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

I'd be lying if I said that I never saw a post of yours, because I remember seeing one or two. Nonetheless, welcome back. If you give me a moment or five, I'll find the guard bunny. EDIT: That doesn't look too bad. But don't worry. He's quite a nice chappy. Studies hard, very into traditions and even has a hat that he loves. EDIT2: Well, I've got another three of that cute bundle of fluff, if anyone wants to see them. EDIT3: Seeing as we've got so many people coming back, recently, I might as well crack out the rest of the pics. And here's Stanley, for good luck They are here to welcome back all of you. Even if you were already here. They're in thumbnails, for reference, so if you have difficulty seeing them, you can just click, for the full sized image. *Shrugs*. I never got the point of Napolean Dynamite. It just seemed... lame. Khothie, if you like the overall finish to a game, rather than it being slightly more complex, in certain areas, Rogue is definitely better. Angband does have the random char generation system and a shop system, if I'm not mistaken, but Rogue has alot more playability and is alot more fun. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

I don't know about that, Aran, I'm just back because I thought that it'd make a change from some unpleasantness and fill up a little spare time, in a day. Not to mention that I thought that a couple of bits of unpleasantness, here, might have blown over, to boot. EDIT: Oh dear, Rosie's back, too. Everyone's coming out the woodwork, eh? The whole point of theories is that they are just that. Theories. Now, Stephen Hawkings can be a very intelligent man, however, his theories are merely an interpretation of the minute quantities of data that he sees. Needless to say, theories change. I think what I'm trying to say here is, your guess is as good as mine. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

I really do wonder if there was a point to reviving a several months old topic. If you use the Geneforge and your character was any good, to begin with, most of the fights in the game, you can breeze. It kind of ruins the fun, if you've left any, by that time. One thing I don't get, however, is why do people have more than just a couple of pets? They don't get the same sort of quality to them, after two. Not to mention, it's a heavy exp loss. It's been freezing over here, recently, but it warmed up a little, yesterday. Ahhhh newblish. Stugie, it's not nice to scare the wee ones. We don't all have fangs. Just some of us. Well, good morning to you, Tim. I'd advise you to stay away from the subversive and spammish people, except I think I'm probably still considered to be one or more of those. Just, enjoy yourself, have fun and don't be too silly. *Decides to think about what animal suffixes he's going to start attaching, now* -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Yes, after thought. We should probably think of that that the FBM decided that change is good and wanted to keep up appearances. Because, like heck, is anyone wanting the real reason. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Computer games distract me. They distract my attention from the crap, the misery and the stupidity of the world. Sure, my schoolwork probably suffers from me playing on the computer, when I should be working, but after a few hours work, my brain is pretty useless. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

I lament those who have played many many rogue-likes, but never realised that there was an original Rogue. Yes, those people exist and I met one, just the other day. Rogue was a very fun game, though. My only gyp is when you've done spectacularly and you're going to take the high score and then bam, dead by an Ur-Vile. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

I don't get why people hail Halo as some sort of revolutionary thing. Gaming was slowly evolving from your older FPS's, such as Doom. Halo is just another game to take advantage of what most FPS's are using. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

What? Us?! Mental patients?!? I may have mental problems, but I'm not anyone's patient, because of them, yet. I use the 'net for alot of stuff. If you killed the ambushing vahnatai, in Fort Haledon, talked to the leader and shown him the orders, if you then go to the enterance to the fort, you should have the option to start the attack, say yes. Then, when you go through the tunnel, there should be a gap in the barrier. I think you might have not actually started the attack, yet. Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

I lost my sanity, the first time, then I was shocked back into having a different sanity, now I'm losing it, again. Sanity is more a concept, than anything that is truly measurable. It's interpretted and examined. You can lose one, but rebuild it. It's not the same sanity, but it's still sanity. Here endeth the madness. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |
