Saunders is more active than you think. Schro is usually around, but never really posts. Then again, even Imban's posting has dropped off, recently. No offence to Thuryl, but I don't think he'd make a great mod. Dolphin, to an extent, has the same. You really need someone who can be quite impartial and not have favouritism cloud things. Specifically, you've got to have a mod that just hates everyone equally and wouldn't mind if we all died, overnight. That's why I feel compelled to nominate UA, Mind, MM, Djur, tGM (In his... extended absence) and ADoS, to an extent. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Ummm.. you trust the MODS to count the votes?! The point of an open and democratic vote is that whether they're suitable or not, if they get the most votes, they win. Of course, if they're judged unsuitable by Drakey, there's no chance that one of the mods would be displaced. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

I'd personally say that E1 was more popular than all of the RWGs put together... Unfortunately, however it is done, someone will have to know who all the voters are and how they've voted. You can't have it as a poll or even really as a secret ballot, because there would be accusations of rigging and suchlike. It's just alot easier to have it out in the open. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Well, Alec sounds like he knows what he's doing and I need some more laughs. Tell you what, someone organise the hunting party for Alcritas, I'll arrange the victory party and Alec can set up and rig the voting. :P -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Aye. After all, if it was trying to shame people, it doesn't do a very good job, as I believe that that said that the posting levels had gone up, compared to last month. Also, add to that that we lost two days, in this calendar month, as he had to post it early. Posting is usually seasonal, though. You'd think that it'd go down in summer, when people are going to go out and have fun, in the nice warm sunshine and go up, in winter, when it's too cold to go out, but oddly not... -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Well, young Drakey would hardly accept it, if someone who spammed, themself, was heavily unpopular or was next to inactive was elected. So that's me out, even if I did get more than one point. :P Even then, if a "suitable" candidate was elected, he still might not wish to displace the existing moderational team. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Because it might just end up a half-decent topic. Sure, in any topic, you always have some people who will wander in and say something random and walk out, but when the people who walk into a topic and can say something constructive and meaningful, then it has a point. If you require to ask further on why, then merely ask yourself if a tree falls in the forest and no-one's around to hear it, does it make a sound? While you're working that one out, everyone else can have a fun chit-chat. :P Besides, some of these young 'uns will have to learn it, sooner or later. :P -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Aye, I use a wireless, on the basis that I sit so far back from the PC. Other than keeping a spare set of batteries around and charging the old ones up when they need it, it's pretty great and much more fun than my old cord 'n' ball. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Discuss Let's all have a nice discussion on this, it's social impacts and really, what exactly does it stand for. For reference, though, despite the starting motivation of it, this is a serious topic. ;) -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Aye, just mind that you don't go confuzzling the newbies - they're easily scared by the burly, strange people. And that's just Aran and Khothie... :P -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Icshi, don't make me actually start a topic on that area of the female reproductive cycle. We all know that I'm big, scary and insane enough to research it and do so... ;) Riibu, we recognise and remember you. How could we fail to miss your charms, with our eyes and ears intact and working? Yes, Orangutan, go you. I don't respond to that many topics. However, at this rate, I'm heading for higher on the list, anyway... *Laments...* [ Thursday, June 16, 2005 12:04: Message edited by: Amitiel ] -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

quote:Who knows? Maybe I really have grown and everything has taken an affect on me. Maybe I've sobered up from insanity or maybe it's all a dream. Who knows? For that matter, who cares? AM, yes, I am calmer. If only because nowadays, my emotions are elsewhere, worrying my arse off, over exams. And Ben was there, long before I left. Though there was some claiming of kinship there, I think, so that might make sense. :P -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Mmm... certainly not my favourite rapper. I should have been revising for my business exams, yesterday and I should be revising for the next ones, now. I just take a little time out, to browse and stuff, just to relax. I used to post whenever I had an opinion on something or just wanted to comment on something... I still do. :P Indeed, Dolphin, sometimes one-liners aren't spam. But usually, posts over several lines have more content than mere one-liners. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Hmmm... I swear EM has got to be doing something against the CoC there... Thanks Ben. Missed y'all, too. Well, most of you... there were some people that certain indiscretions with, should be forgotten... ;) I could come up with excuses why I failed to appear on anyone's list, but the truth of the matter is I probably had too much fun, last time I was properly around here. :P -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Give me a few minutes with Photoshop... after the several hours that it'd take to download and I'll show you some pictures that say otherwise. Nonetheless, I was more referring to it in attitude, rather than merely riding around the fora, naked, on a horse... though I'd imagine that that would be funnier. :P [ Wednesday, June 15, 2005 15:24: Message edited by: Amitiel ] -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Well, I can find a random newbie, fresh to the forum and have a go at that, Alo. Of course, I'd have to have my usual fee of amnesty to all crimes committed, at that point in time, but hey, would Drakey really mind just a few more posts around the place? :P Having just noticed it, though - Kel, you should have added a caption to that, methinks... I find it almost odd that I still made #67, with only 22 posts, though. I don't think I ever really posted that many one-liners, though. If I did spam, which I never really did, conciously, then I at least had the honour to put some more words into it. Now now, I hear Galactic Core wasn't that bad, though having played Homeland, maybe it was... Homeland really bugged me, though. The endless clicking, the shoddy interface and dialogue, the dying, five seconds after you finally clicked your finger off, getting to the dungeon... It is, indeed, the Troglodytes/Hill Giants, last I remember. Also, other than defeating them, it occurs around day 60, possibly I'm mistaking that for 80, though. When it does occur, you will need to go to Aniaxmander to be told of it, though. The Tower of Magi disaster occurs on day 120. Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

The media are more of a necessary evil, I guess. While they have the power and will to portray a certain set of events, pulling the general public's opinion one way or another, which is not well-placed, in light that they are there for the ratings, rather than the accurate, unbiased truth. However, without the media, the general public would remain even more ignorant than they usually are. Which, I guess, just might not be such a bad thing, after all. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Okay, now that that's cleared up, I do have one very small, but possibly significant question. Other than posterity, post count and being random, is there an actual point to this topic or is it doomed to random meandering or moderational justice? If yes, what teh bleep was it? -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

In the sense that he's that paedophilic but still runs around like he's Lady Godiva? Zeviz, there's something bad about sugar? In moderation and with healthy exercise, it can be part of a very healthy diet. Somehow, despite Alo's comment, I fail to be scared and will just run back to a place where innuendo and deliberate typos are commonplace. Plus, spam is legal, too. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |
