Yeah, that's me. My hair's normally a light brown, but due to being in the sun a fair bit and other stuff, it's a bit lighter than usual. Though, if we went by my eyebrows, then my hair should be really dark... Generally.. there are three facial expressions - moody, but innocent, happy-happy or looking really devious. I think, in this case, it was more that I was tired, than looking genuinely innocent. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Once upon a time, I remember when Ben was starting out on these boards and I was just about to hit 1000. It's odd how my posting came to a complete standstill. Well, it would have been, if I was still here. Nonetheless, congratulations on 2k. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

Mmm... considering the games that are usually covered by this forum, I do have to vote that an entirely new forum is made, as a sub-forum of Tech Support. One that is entitled "Games that are so evil, we'll call them buggy as a cover story/RSI therapy treatments". Honestly, though, I think RWG needs more traffic. Setting it to the bottom of the list will only make it worse. Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

quote:I do pay attention, but if you fail to clarify your words, then it is entirely your own fault. quote:Kel had the potential to be a good moderator, but was not taking it seriously, in any way, shape or form. I am not questioning his choice to support another candidate, however, the people who voted for him, did not vote for Alec, Stug, Thur, Aran or anyone else but Kel, himself. It was his democratic right to vote in the election, but by no means should votes towards himself have counted to any other candidate. That is defeating the point of democracy. By not taking the matter seriously and using other people's votes, without their consent, he interfered in the process of democracy. I don't know about you, but that's not only noncing something up, but it's also making a farce of it. quote:And I have to declare that discrimination against the "registration dately challenged". :P quote:Get off your self-righteous horse. If Kel wanted to defend himself against words that have just been obviously so harsh beyond words, that he needs several people, including yourself, to defend him from, he might've asked. Or even considered the matter worthy enough, to defend himself, perchance? quote:My apologies, Drakey. I must remind myself that this is a place where those sorts of references are not just uncommon, but taboo. quote:We are all entitled to our own opinions. If he wishes to defend someone else, who seemingly considers the matter so important, that he seems to be ignoring it, then why such surprise, when other people tell him their honest opinions? quote:Once again, if he seemingly doesn't consider that he needs to defend himself, does he really need so much defending from everyone else? quote:Well said. Or perhaps a name that reflects the election, in what most candidates claim, but we never really see, ourselves? Such as, Cliched Liberation from the Institutional Tyrannys. But alas, it never took a rocket scientist to work out that and that the mods would be angered if I violated their Cliched Liberation from the Institutional Tyrannys. Especially Schro. Indeed, Alo, but while obscenities are violating the CoC, it hardly covers free speech and I don't see where it shoots you for speaking your mind. Not quite. While Aran asked his voters to move their votes to Stug, given his abscence, it's still down to them. Nonetheless, I hereby vote for Stughalf, wholeheartedly believing that he would make the better moderator. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

quote:M'dear, are you actually inferring that there is a problem with being transparent? If he was "mean-spirited" and grumbled, privately, to everyone, would that have been more acceptable to you? He may well have had questionable motives, but he hardly denied such. He seemingly has not lied. Is there a problem with being honest, if the truth isn't smelling of roses? Sweaty left testicles to you, sirrah. TM has a good point, painful as it is, for me to admit such. Kel ran a campaign on a joke principle. He seemingly had little intention to take it seriously, by the time that voting came about, so we can hardly say that he had the community's best interests at heart. While it was his democratic right to run, that doesn't mean that it's right to nonce up a serious matter, with a joke for a principle. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

He has pride. The principle of the election was probably not a good one. It was likely based on Alec's desire for power, of that form. However, upon considering the rules, the switching of votes, after, is not only extremely unorthodox and against the principle of the matter, but also backfired. Nonetheless, who are we to say that a victory for him would have been a bad thing? I personally dislike stringent rules being placed. There has always got to be a margin for error and an amount of leiniency. quote:Zeviz, he gave one week in the registration thread. I fail to see how that was just convenience for him. It was quick, sure, but it was hardly objectable. quote:Unless I've missed something, the rules of registration were extremely simple - i.e. post saying you were registering, in the time period. I really have to query if you're complaining for no reason. quote:Nay. quote:Alec, no offence, but that's over the top, as far as flowery foppery goes. quote:It's called a personal opinion. quote:Unless the rules was "Alec wins", then according to the election rules, which I find great fault with, then he didn't break them. quote:Yes, you've got a good point, there. Both of those campaigns were run as a joke and it is... disturbing that people seriously voted for them. quote:It lacks former lustre. Not that mere mods could really change that. It would appear that the outcome of this whole charade is... unforunate. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |

It's an interesting concept, though. Sure, the keywording and maybe a couple of other things need to be thought about and fleshed out, but it's a nice idea. Also, personally, I'm all for this, because I've been waiting a very long time to see Aran have a cat-fight. :P Nice work, Niemand. -------------------- Aut Tace Aut Loquere Meliora Silencio Posts: 1487 | Registered: Sunday, February 10 2002 08:00 |
