If memory serves me well, it was locked at one point, but due to some twist of fate, it became unlocked and a haven for all sorts of TM's twisted shenanagans. Not that I've even spelt that correctly, though. It would indeed be "tempter", BSC. It's not only the logical extension from tempt, but also, the feminine version of it, is temptress. The only other possible word that it could possibly be, would be "temptor", running on the same logic as actor-actress.
