Think of all the literature, films, etc. that would become essentially meaningless if we all decided to speak one language, though. Most people can't be bothered to learn a second language, so few people who didn't already know how to read would be able to benefit from the works written in the old languages. I suppose they could be translated, but part of the meaning and beauty is always lost when you translate a work.

Shoot, TM, you should leave us with something useful to talk about every time you revive this topic. It would do leaps and bounds to speed up the push toward 1000. ;)

When Ben says the push towards 1000 he means the goal of getting 1000 replies on this topic.

This name is, for reference, a joke for those who played early versions of NTH and Corp.

No one has yet guessed what my moniker is. I'll give whoever does a big Hershey's bar (or a different candy bar, if you're allergic to chocolate).

Your new "street" nickname is Big Fridge 7?

A query, though, as an obvious unknowing. Is it even possible to emasculate a grotto and if so, how?

Also, is there some sort of grotto emasculation service, where I can get my grotto emasculated, to save me the trouble of doing it, myself?

650 posts topic. I think this is the biggesrt I've seen so far in my time here.

Anyway, I've tried changing my name, but I've gotten som used to one thing, that it gets kind of annyoing to change it. However, it IS fun to see what some of the other members put for their own. Alo and TM are just some of the ones who change nearly daily. Ofcourse, we nearly all change when there's one of those "Everyone is Imban" Topics, but in general...

Alo changes his name every couple of days, but TM seems to leave his for a week or so (or more).

Every day, in fact, though the actual time per moniker ranges from about 17 to 30 hours.

What I want to know is how you come up with all those monikers. I would peter out after a while. Maybe you should just start to number your monikers ie. whatever number this is, like 170 or whatever. Next moniker is "171," and so on, now that would really annoy Drakey.

HINT FOR MY MONIKER: Think back three monikers.

Ben, I asked because you wanted someone to ask, guessing takes too much effort.

I recall the days of the Xian Skull.... now that was some weird posts with no real purpose other than to be goofy. It was rather funny for a while, but I don't think it had ever gotten close to the number of posts this one has

"What kind of music are you listening to?" got 1001, I think. Oh, and welcome back Therakul/Ragnarok Hellcaller; I see you haven't been here for over a year! ;)

The "Xian Skull" topic contained more than thousand posts, I recall.

Alo does, pretty much. TM tends to change his whenever this topic is a couple of weeks without a reply. Aran changes his more frequently than TM.

Y'see, in NTH, there's this grotto. Nasty, dingy place. People are all really hungry and starving and ribs showing and all that stuff.

Thing is, when TM described the place, he equated "Emaciated" with "Emasculated".

Actually, you're conflating two different locations from NTH into one, but it makes a better story that way.
