I like my graphic, though I don't have purple hair. I'm even more fond the graphic you gave Ed, although I would like that graphic also without Ed's name under it. Arghhhhhhhhh's graphic is quite contradictive to the avatar. But then again, actually not. Something that cute is simply too scary to look at.

Not completely true. If you are very good at your playing, ofcourse this depends on the piece of music you are playing, then it may be easy. if I have to play something that is below my level, then yes, I would think its easy.

Fine with me too, as long as you keep it at cannons, and not move on too full automatic shotguns.

I use PrintMusic, too, but what you hear in the playback isn't actually MIDI instruments. It's Quicktime SoftSynth, which sounds a lot better than MIDI. Then, when you switch it to MIDI, to send as a file in an email or something, it sounds really bad. -_-;;

Then Printmusic 2001 didn't have the option to use it, otherwise I would have used it by default. None of the versions of Finale x 2001 probably had it (x = fill in the version of whatever Finale program).

Reinstalling wouldn't be necessary, as (probably) the web site will remember if your trial is over. In other words, after 30 days, you can't do anything anymore (that is, you can't print or save, which is a lot more than with other demo versions: this is actually the first version in which you can save and print the first 30 days. Other versions you couldn't print or save at all).

Tomorrow (wednesday) is Pesach, the Jewish easter. I would like to take this moment to say happy Pesach to all Jews and Israelis on these boards.

(And I'm sorry if this proovs to be a useless topic, but sending a whole bunch of PM's just didn't seem very handy)

Gernas ran to the mountains as fast as he could. he had seen a few towns on his way, which seemed to be guarded by Empire soldiers. He had written Mernal about it, and already got a message back:

Mernal writing

Empire soldiers? The Empire should be dead. Continue to the mountains, and make sure you are not seen. The Empire never liked the mountains. Too dangerous. We might find allies in these mountains.

With that vision, Gernas continued on his journey.

It was at noon that he reached the mountians. The high peaks, thouhg not snow covered, could almost reach the clouds. However, he could see a passage between two peaks, which didn't seem a hell of a climb, and it also didn't seem to be a long way from where he was. he decided to go through it and see what he would come across.

He climbed up, and eventually discovered a lake to be there, which meant he couldn't continue here. he would probably have to go around it somehow. He looked at the other side of the lake, which wasn;t a very wide lake. He then spotted stones. Every now and then, he saw some stones above the water. Stepping stones! This will make everything a lot easier!

He quickly and swiftly jumped on the first stone, and on the next, which went fine. In ten minutes he was at the other side of the lake, happy he didn't fall in the water and drowned.

After a short hike, he started reaching an other lake, but it was different this time. It was all darker and more silent here. He then saw movements. Gernas looked closely, and too his great delight, he saw Nephilim! He immedialty wrote back to Mernal. This would be a handy find.

-----
OOC: I wasn't really sure where the Jsoulza mountains Nephilim were, so I placed them somewhere at the most northern lake in the mountains (if you undersatnd what I mean).

Its difficult to find creative people, you know. Most films I saw about aliens, for example, all looked quite the same. Games isn't very different, is it. Most RPGs also seem to be set in a sort of middleages, in which magic is very important. lets face it, as Dintiridan already said: Why make things different when it is well as it is?

Maybe changing it will also cost more. People will ahve to be paid to do the thinking, which takes time.

To say that there are ways around it :P

But to be honest, I would have told where and how, if I wouldn't have the feeling that I would break the CoC with saying it, so, sorry.

Frahif Nephilmerhas Firanas

An army consisitng of about 300 well traied Nephilim warriors and archers and some poorly trained mages, and fairly well trained mages, has left its main base in the mountain of Northern valrim and is now waiting to go on at Dorngas. mernal, the leader of the army has sent five spies to spy on certain factions in Pralgrad an Valorim. Three spies have reached their goal (keepers of knowlegde, Fort Emergence and the Gonlin Goblins' army at the Keepers of knowldge's citadel). the other two are still on their way to northern Pralgrad and the southern Karnold isles.

Thralni, what program do you use to create music? At my high school, we had a program which had just enough capability to create a rendition of 'Hot Cross Buns'. In MIDI format. Hopefully, it's freeware, and in English (I have Dutch ancestry, but that doesn't translate into knowledge of the language).
I use Finale Printmusic. Its a simple program in which you just click the notes in there appropriate places (that is, where you want them to be). You can then save it a standard Coda notation file, as a MIDI file or an audio CD track file.

I tried to use the names given to the things that were used in the program (the program is in English, don't worry), but I didn't have the program running and was too lazy to turn it on. I chose Printmusic above Sibelius, as Sibelius is way too advanced for me (and the MIDI instruments' sounds are horrible. The ones used in printmusic are actually quite good). If you want to try it, their website is here: Finale music

From there you can download the demo of Finale Printmusic 2006. however, you'll have to create an account before being able to download anything. When you have the program, listening to my music will be a lot easier (if you want to listen, that is).

Dikiyoba: That's a pity.

Alorael: It's okay, and it took me at least four years to come to a point in which my music became sort of listenable (if that's a word in English).

Jewels: I'm also fond of violas. there are four or five instruments which I really like, and almost always have good parts in the music I compose: trombone, horn, bassoon, viola and cello.

gernas had moved along the Goblins safely, and was now coming across several other goblins, who seemed to have lost the way while marching towards the seeker of knowledge's citadel. It was easy to avoid them, as they seemed to be half drunk anyway, but still it would be best to try hard not to be seen, even though the oponent can barely open his eyes.

Sneaking from bush to bush, from bush to rock, and from rock to rock, Gernas reached the end of the landbridge in three quarters of an hour, and the sun started to rise.

Pralgrad

It was quite different from what he had imagined. he thought of the "New world" with high, pointy trees, and rocks as big as the nephilim gods themselves. Instead he saw fields. Fields with corn and lettuce, with here and there a lonely tree.

How disappointing.

He walked on in fast pace, as to reach the mountains he could see from far before noon. given his swift and stealthy movements, that wouldn't be too difficult. however, before continuing, he decided to write Mernal a message, as to tell him what he had done in the meantime. To do so, he climed in a nearby tree, so he wouldn't be seen, broke off a branch and took the scroll.

gernas writing,

Past goblins, at the new world. its called Pralgrad. A small sign, lying on ground in field said so. continuing to nearby mountains, there before noon.
