So far so good. I'm still dead, a key to open a chest with my name on it was found... I don't know what to expect. I only hope the almighty chicken gods will save me, and that I will not die a second time.

The baby fluffy turtle. *sigh* Anything more stupid than that? As it made me laugh, without stopping for five minutes. Go on, please.

I've never seen someone make a good point in a more despicable, patronizing way. Congratulations, I suppose.

personally, I don't see what's so despicable or partonizing about what I said.

wait a minute... Are you saying that every idiot, everypoor selfish soul should have his say? If that would happen, I will pack my suitcases and go on a one-way trip to Mars, thank you.

Really, that's how its in every country. Every country (I'll take Holland as an example) will have a leading character: in Holland the pri-minister: Jan Peter Balkenende. Then there is "de Eerste Kamer" (literally "de first room"), in which the ministers and secretaries of the ministers have their say. then you also have "de Tweede Kamer" (literally "de second room") in which the actual parliament debates. now all these people are what? Less than 1% of the total population of Holland? Still they control 16 million people. Anything wrong about that? no. it works. Its the same in all other countries (well, except for China and other countries in which the communisme is the main political stream).

So basically I don't understand what your point is about these stats. As my Dutch teacher put democracy: "democracy is a dictatorship of the majority." Pity that the majority often consists of idiots.

TM: he is not blaming the poor, he is blaming their leaders, and I agree with that. How much money was spent, trying to do something for these countries. These countries could have been more civilized by now, if only the governments wouldn't have been giving themselves a healthy salary, paid by the US' and Europe's friendly "help-the-poor" donations.

Question 1: Energy in General
Master
Member # 5977
Profile Homepage #75
Sorry to intrude in this discussion with such a drastically different thing, but somewhere I read an idea (it might even have been Simcity 3000), where they would use a big satelite, which would collect energy from the sun, like a normal solar panel. However, this solar panel would be extremely big, and wouldn't have any problems due to clouds or the ozone layer, which stops a percantage of sun rays to reach the earth. The sattelite will compres this energy (don't ask me about this compressing, as I myself don't know how they want to do this) and send it to an enormous receptor, in the form of a satalite dish, from were it will be brought to a reservoir of some sort, where the power will be stored.

How does that sound to you guys?

I speak Dutch, german, French, English, and a bit of Hebrew.

Dutch and English are the best, but the other three are quite bad.

And for some reason, I feel sort a flattered that the cause of this poll to be made, is I.

3. George W Bush. He has missiles.
4. Guy..... (to fill in yourself)
5. the Wizard of Id. I don't know him personally, but I heard rumors of the "id-card" campaign he launched, which brought him quite some money.
6. Captain planet. Rentar was beaten already twice.
7. Professor X, as he has a title (professor).
8. madonna, with her ear-deafening singing.

EDIT: why am I always too late?

I really don't know what's happening at your place, because I answered that PM at the beta testing center already about a week ago, and that last PM you sent me on SW just now I replied to this afternoon. the beta testing center has also been posted on. Only by cvpota and Inthrall, if I recall it correctly, but the beta has only just begun. people need to finish the scenario first.

In total you should have recieved two PM's from me. One from the testing center, and one from the SW boards. If you haven't, something has gone horribly wrong.

Two cows are standing on the farmland. one of them says "Boo." Then the other says: "Hey! You stole my text!"

yes, all the puns here are horrible. Not even one made me laugh, which is an achievement.

Question 1: Energy in General
Master
Member # 5977
Profile Homepage #25
As has been said numerous times: nuclear energy. Most of the arguments for outweigh the ones against, for all i can tell. Most arguments against are purely ideologic: "Just look at Tsjernobyl, and you'll see nuclear energy is bad!" kind of stuff.

Also, It would be good if companies would try to invest in apparatus that will require less energy, or that will be energy efficient. The electric car that has been mentioned is very unefficient, as it sucks power. However, this can be improved of course.

As athing that might work better for cars 9and which is already used): cars using a mixture of grain-type of plants. This is called "bio-fuel." Its not extremely polluting, and we will have enormous amounts of it. It will also encourage the growth of the percentage of industry consisting of farms to grow, which is an important economic reason, in my eyes, to start using bio-fuels.

I think TM already has explained pretty much of it, and what he said was in any case more than true:

- Mernal saw the star only when it has almost dissappeared (because we have no form of knowing when exactly certain posts take place, we also don't really know how long certain things take. Don't forget that the FNF have been travelling for some days, and Mernal was trying to get past the goblins safely).
- Mernal only remembered the book untill it was too late.

I'm sorry. It was just the first thing that came up to me when I saw that post.

Basically I hate it when I'm proud of something I actually managed to make, being a complete beginner, and immediatly somebody says that there are better things.

I'll get over it, don't worry. At least one day I will.
