I am deeply concerned by the events prophecied in the Attack of the noobs. Argh* may have been banished, which is a good thing, but member 5222 remains. Pokeman Ed has relaxed somewhat, but member 599 lies dormant, waiting.

What lies within the UBB, patiently waiting for the sign...

The Assassin is gonna be very demonstrative after hearing about his demise. Perhaps his anger will be eased when he notices that the advertisements at the top of the Dikiyoba site include rifle scopes by Leupold. Alorael, take note. They are fine optics, and the company is adept at customer relationship development.

A4 Windows 99% cpu time in Tech Support

I tried mef, but it was very similar. I use Norton AV Corp 7.6 and Norton Firewall 2005, but turned both off and re-ran A4. It still stutters when going on a long walk, even when there are no obstacles. The oddest thing (Jeff, listen) is that after alt-tabbing back to A4 from the Task Manager, the left-mouse button does not function as a left mouse button. Instead it gives info on objects (like it was the right button), but it will click through a check box.

Something wierd this way comes.

Try turning off the sound (in Preferences) prior to loading. Also update your sound drivers. This may help.

Factoid of the minute - L Frank Baum wrote the Land of Oz after visiting the World's Fair in Chicago.

I've been a fan of Verne, Orwell, London, Pohl, Asimov, and many more. My attention wanders though, and devotion to an author is fleeting. I'd rather find something new and obscure, eschew the pop or classic pop, until it all becomes mushy and same. Currently I consider classic to include such nonsense as Chabon and Fforde, oh and especially James. She is hot.

This is indeed frustrating. My theatre fell victim to sustained idiocy and has been momentarily abandoned in favor of something else. Luckily I'm currently working on something else (not the title of the scenario) so all is not lost. It will be on the small side.

Well, not to throw in a monkey wrench to your glorious uprising (all hail the uprising), but what if someone actually had a valid and timely topic? Do we propose that it is valid to put off a discussion on the imminent invasion of Iran just because it happens to be Monday?

I'm not trying to queer this because I begin a lot of junk topics, freely admitted, but because I see serious problems with a blanket denial of self specific to a preordained day of the week or month.

Maybe instead, new topics in General should be restricted to certain classes of members that have proven themselves (through hook or crook) to be reliable sources of "thought, creativity and originality." All other forums would of course remain open to all members.

(Again, all hail the gloriousness that is organized uprising.)

And I had actually thought the furry lobsters were an April Fools joke. Not April? I'm sure it's April somewhere in the world right now.

Well, not exactly, but now all the Trekkie folk are reading this too.

Leonard Nimoy made a rather easy shift from Star Trek to Unsolved Mysteries and began calmly and logicly explaining the unexplainable to the commoners. Ghosts, apparitions, UFOs, and other unexplained thingies got the whatfor treatment and then, with seconds left in the broadcast, there was the seed of doubt. The "absence of proof isn't proof of absence" garbage that some tof the more logical hold near and dear.

The National Geographic channel now seems to carry this show, and this morning they explained away the chupacabra, dismissing another new species to the dust bin. The Malaysian government recently announced that there have been no applications for their famous yeti hunt. It almost seems that lore and legends are being CSI'ed out of existance.

I do offer however a ray of hope in this otherwise sterile future. A new species of fuzzy lobster was recently discovered, captured, and analyzed for posterity. So it is possible that absent proof of absence, there are unknowns in the world. There are things left undiscovered, unknown, and it is our sworn duty to hunt them down and kill them. That would make James T a happy man.

Oh yeah, the question is, "What unproven thingie do you think is possible, or likely, and why?"

I always make sure to thank my mother for the pain and agony she suffered while carrying me. I assure her that while it wasn't necessarily worth it, I have done a few nice things. And no, I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Huh. Now that is what I figured, but the motivation seemed off. Unless it was just a cheap gimmick so the author could reuse a stock character further on in the script.

Oh. Never mind.

While it was in character for me to call Nico an ugly old hag, I'm not exactly sure what inspired her to jump me. That is one to ponder. As far as weapons though, I would prefer to flail with a fishing rod, or perhaps use a tuna gaff for the closer encounters.

You know, if historical accuracy is important.

By blaming your "host", possibly a euphamism for your "handler", I see that I will need to keep handy my special hat. I'm certainly glad that access has been re-granted though, it is time for me to check progress.

Edit - You managed this all on your own? Huh. Maybe the blame should be placed on the implant malfunctions which have been having disastrous effects throught the forums recently.
