Please no. Demons have been used to death in so many media, it's not even funny anymore. Demons invade because they are demons and demons are evil and like to invade, circular logic. No thought involved.

The First Expedition would be a really nice change. Bring us back to survival, escape mode.

Demons invaded because the GIFTS drove them crazy.
The GIFTS are manifestations of abandoned sanity.
Sinsanity, we fight back the demons.
It will never stop.

Pshaw.

I have repeatedly beaten A3 with my monitor turned off.

Any doubters will be sent a screen shot upon request.

It was recently drawn to my attention that the titles can occasionally get more amusing if they are read with the word "Member" appended, much as if read as a single line containing PDN, Title, and "Member" # x. I fail to see any humor, but that's not saying much.

Thus my policy of mild humor behind the persons back, then full frontal assault when they are present in a chat.

Nothing personal though, it's all good craic.

Aren't you the person that accused me of not having thoughtful posts? :P

Not at all. I was the person that was so forgetful that subject and verb never seemed to match in the same sentence. My ability to remember your posts (which upon further review seem to be adequately memorable) was therefore called into question, so I wandered away and made some toast.

Now, what was that question?

I don't get it then. Nethergate was one of your best received games from a critical viewpoint, and Avernum from a sales viewpoint. To combine aspects of both could be even better (Think adding chocolate syrup to ice cream) and boost sales as well.

I'm sure a guy of your talents could create a situation where it would be possible to play the game from either perspective.

I actually time my posts by content. If I have something to add to a thread I try to make appear toward the top of any given page. If it is more spammy in nature, or conversational, then I attempt to make it happen toward the bottom of the page. This one, as it appears to be topical yet spammy, will appear toward the middle of the page.

The worst thing to have happen is to post complete spam, hoping to be the last poster on a page, only to find out that someone posted while your post was being formed, thusly pushing your post to the top of a new page. That hurts.

Funny story about the word "statistic".

You know those child sponsorship ads that have pictures of starving African children and say "Don't let this child become a statistic"?

Yeah? Well, because of those, for the first 10 years of my life I thought "statistic" meant "a dead person".

Thank you Thuryl. That was beautiful.

Much like the Moderator Board, these chats are boring and attendence is discouraged. Imagine a particularly grusome expressway accident, with a slow queue of traffic able to get by (on the far left please), each passerby looking at the accident as they drive past. You just know there isn't much to see aside from mangled metal, but you keep hoping that you get that split-second cadaver spotting. That is the chat.

Edit - Oh yeah, I'll try to be there for both.

You're right. I was thinking of the signature topic. There was a custom title topic in the past couple months however. I distinbctly remember it.

There are always custom title topics, karma topics, moniker topics, signatory topics and procedural topics.

The remainder is observational fluff designed to conceal the spam.

I'm surprised Alo, to see you respond so sharply to the left hook of Mr. Pizzaking. At least now though we have a clearer understanding of your psyche.

Please don't feel any compulsion to add me to your list, I prefer exclusivity over homogeneity. This whole AIM thing is getting very overblown and has cut way too far into my free time, which coincidentally is my scenario making time.

Do with that what you will.

They feel that they are being limited to the singular and they need to expand to plurality. When this has happened, their rejoicing will echo from the ramparts.

Wasn't "horned" a term used in the wicked old days for cuckolded? How far, exactly, can we go in analyzing the pdn(s) of Argh*?

I have no idea if those are real letters or not. I also hope that this image is permissible under the CoC, as I'm sure the image is copyrighted, but the forum is only hosting a link to the image. Further noteworthy is that this image is the first Crumb that I've seen that doesn't involve nudity. How fortuitous.
