I fear I might forget something. There has been a steady pattern in my family of that, and it doesn't look very comfortable. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

The problem is that it has to be a character that already has dialog. If there was an editor then it would be simpler to switch NPC's like that. I have't done much in A4, I'm waiting for version 2, but if a person compared them side by side it might be easy to put back the missing components. Absent that, tack back on the bits about the quest. -------------------- WWtNSD? Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

To combine several of your latest topics, please create your own forum and practice topic creation somewhere else. When you have become more proficient I welcome your return and contributions. Somewhere in the "Moderator" topic there were suggestions of board hosts. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Actually, the cruelest would be to appoint a Moderator of the Day, but announce it the following day. That does assume that most people don't repeatedly check the Mod Room to see if they can get in. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

That poll.... I think I voted for Jeb Bush. Please make polls that are shorter, fewer choices, and less comprehensive. There are Americans on these boards after all. ( :P ) -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

It has to be Avernum? I guess BoA out of the misguided feeling that I might eventually accomplish something with it. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

The Encyclopaedia Ermariana has gone covert, requiring passwords, handshakes, and other hip-hop top secret thingie-ma-bobs. So, has Aran finally lost it, or is he just making final preparations before unveiling something truly monstrous (and has lost it)? -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

quote:Purely from a gameplay standpoint though, don't you find enough differences between Geneforge and Avernum to permit a Blades version? The what-ifs alone seem to indicate that there is a wide audience of purely GF people which could end up creating a new Blades community, given the chance. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I like my topics to be something other than linear in nature. More stream of consciousness than anything else, since salmon like streams. Because they are fish. (Fish live in streams) Also, so far no one has said their favorite chore, childhood fantasy job, or ocean. With so many things left to be favoritized, I see no end to this. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I needed to switch around some terrains and floors and since it was a new scenario I decided to just copy to data file and make edits before deleting most of it. It was not what I should have done. Next time I'll just copy VoDTdata... -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Not sure if this is a bug, or just being stupid. Don't copy corescendata.txt into scenariodata.txt and expect either the 3d editor or game to work. The game immediately goes into Unhandled exception mode when the scenario is opened, and the editor shows very few graphics before shutting down. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

Webster was dictatorial, but he did create the dictionary for American english. Favour is the British variation, not the American one. Case closed. Judge Salmon finds for the defendant and rules that $100 must be paid for fueling expenses. -------------------- quote: Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |
