Darn it, I just had a long and drawn out, in depth, and absolutely true answer to all your questions, arghhhhhh, but when I clicked the post button, it told me I had too many images in my post (smilies?) and to click the back button, where it promptly erased everything I had written. No!!!!!! But anyway, in short, you must make it to the top of both the administrator and Spiderweb communities list to become a moderator when such a rare opportunity shows itself. Tough task. Oh, and creating your own forum is easy here or here. Getting members to join and post on a regular basis is the hard part.
