No, I didn't mention it for the sake of sympathy, or I would have mentioned what caused her passing. It was more to say why we got the puppy. I am truly touched that people care, thank you so much for your kindness :)

Oddly enough, Slp, there is no mention of input volume in the Sound section of System Preferences. I am using OS X.
Did adjusting the input volume in Audacity not work?

Edit: Also, on a Mac: go to System Preferences - Sound - Input.

Scariest thing... in General

I was walking at night with my best friend (about four years ago, so I was 17), and we had smoked a decent amount of Skribbane. We were very happy and laughing; everything was going well until a woman in all black walked out of an alley we passed. She walked behind us for about a block, and we thought nothing of it. After about three blocks we started to get a little paranoid, so we walked in strange directions (go west, north, west, north..) to see if she would stop following us; she didn't. When she had fallowed us for about eight blocks we ran for the nearest main street. That lady fallowed us every turn and every street crossing (left side of the street to right, and back again).

I never get paranoid from Skribbane, but that was very scary. I don't know why she did that, and she disappeared when we got to the main street. I feel like looking behind me just thinking about it.

Thank you very much for your kind words Slp, Salmon, and Stugie. The Rottweiler was named Cleo; Zeus is alive and well, but very afraid of the new puppy.

Stugie, very awesome.

Slp, that's hilarious, nice.

I am capable of staying up all night and being okay the next day, but if I try to stay awake for more than about 40 hours I start dozing off as soon as I stop moving for a couple minutes.

Reading and scripting will make me tired if it is late at night, so will listening to soft music. Yoga/stretching will help me sleep too; after a couple backbends I feel kind of stoned (in a way), and it's easy to fall asleep.

That's wonderful, Aran :)

--------------------------------------------------------
I'll post this here because I'm not sure where would be a better place…

I'm going to be posting a lot less frequently for a couple months. My Rottweiler passed away a couple days ago, so we go a puppy so our remaining dog wouldn't be alone. Time is spread thin between school and the puppy, so I don't have quite as much time to get online. She is nine weeks old, so I'd say it will be about two or three months before I will be able to post at a steady rate again.

Here is a picture (she doesn't have a name yet). You can't really see her face, but she doesn't stay still for more then a second (especially with a camera pointed at her). She is a Rat Terrier; I have never had this breed of dog before, but they seem like good dogs.

Amici - everything except sausage, pineapple, seafood, coconut, or too much onion. - I prefer thin crust, but thick crust is good too if made well.

Web "anonymity" vs. real life identity in General
Shaper

I don't feel particularly anonymous. I've mentioned my name, city I live in, school I go to, picture, voice, and a bunch of random information that if put together would tell you who I am. I'm not concerned with letting people know any of these things (though I have been more open with my identity with SW than anywhere else).

No one I know in real life plays Spiderweb games (or RP games at all for that matter), and I don't think they would recognize me by writing style either way. I've never met anyone online in person, but I know people who do so regularly.

The song, of course.

I had forgotten how bad it actually is, but it would still be funny to hear someone sing it.

I found a working download for TaskMaker, and it is the game I was thinking of. I was thinking about this game every now and then for a long time, so I'm very happy to be able to play it again :)

Edit: It's a demo version, so one can only enter three towns. Since the company no longer exists it can't be registered, oh well it was still nice to see it agian.

Sing whichever song you enjoy singing, but I voted for the Spam Song just for the sake of doing so.

Yes, aesthetic can be uesed in that context.

Using different colors or strikeout would be useful at times, but marquee style sounds annoying, as does constant underlining.

Do you trust people? in General

I tend to keep a small group of very close friends, and trust them completely. Some members of my family are trustworthy, and others... I trust associates for the most part, and somewhat trust strangers.

I find that most people trust me; I'm good at keeping secrets, and I don't like to gossip (most of the time). Strangers tend trust me, as I'm generally thought to be a "good girl", and at times I am, kind of.

Using Audacity, there is a slider with a picture of a mic next to it that increases and decreases the input volume. Go to "view" and then to "Float Mixer Toolbar" if my description is too vague.

Edit: typos

I don't have any subscriptions to magazines… oh wait, my grandma sends me National Geographic, so kind of.

I used to get MacAddict, but sharing with others is easier, and I used to read Mad when I was younger.

Edit: And I get magazines like Science when a particularly interesting issue comes out.

There is only one traditional style pizza place near here, and they don't deliver. They have the best pizza I've ever had, but when I was hungry and joyous from Skribbane I was unable to get that pizza.

Slp, I'm not sure what you mean by "fiber twigs".

I used to really like donuts, especially the fluffy glazed ones dipped in milk. I liked Dunkin Donuts better than KK, but there wasn't a KK anywhere near here before about three years ago. They made a really big deal about it when the KK was being built (commercials, coupons, everyone was very excited), but than when it finally opened they were like any other donut, to me.

Since pizza was mentioned: Pizza Hut is better than Dominos.

Slp, your voice sounds very much the way I thought it would. I was reading you name kind of like "slip" without the "i" sound, so good to know it's letter by letter.

Morgan's voice is pretty close to what I thought it might be, too.

ADoS's second clip is better than the first (got rid of the background sound), and the song, was kind of funny...

My family is Macedonian (I'm third generation American), and the population here is about half Hispanic; since I grew up speaking English the accent didn't really set in, but I'll post something else later that uses words with more "L" and "A/O" sounds, for example.
