1,3,4,5,6 look like who they are, and so does number 2 now that you mention it. A page of statistics would be fitting for Aran instead of the peace flag. Number 6 is Archmage Alex, and number 7 is Thuryl. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Pack Ornks would be cute, and tagalongs could be carry item, too. Boat creations would be preferable to the enlarged version of the Avernum boat in GF3. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

When I saw the screenshots for GF3 with Alwan and Greta I thought that we would be able to make a group like in Exile/Avernum. I don't mind the way Alwan/Greta are trained, or that they are fairly limited in methods of attack, but it would be nice if they could carry things. Even if they were unable to use the items in their inventory it would very useful to have them haul things for me. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

I only use item like the Transference Robe when the creation is first formed, as it gives the creation a bit of an advantage when it's stats are very low. I always carry better equipment just incase the creation is killed, and once the creation has gained some skill points I go back to my regular equipment. One more finger story… When I was about five years old my brother and I were pushing a folding door open and shut. My right index finger got in the way one of the hinges, and it cut the end clean off; it's amazing how much and how long fingers can bleed. My mom called the paramedics, and I had to go to the hospital. My right index finger is about 1/6 of an inch shorter than the left. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

quote:Items are plentiful in GF3, so sell everything but the ingredients you need. The first time I played I had a huge pile of stuff that I took from island to island, and I had very few coins. After that I sold everything I could find, and ended up with more than enough coins to train in everything I needed. You'll need a lot more coins after Dhonal's Island, so it's worth going back and picking up as many items as you can stand collecting. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

As an aside, you can use up to seven canisters and still have a purist ending. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

Well, since I don't have an embarrassing moment to post I'll post an idiotic one. I woke up at about 7:00 one morning, and went downstairs to find something to eat. We were going to go to the market that day, so there was very little left to eat. The only thing I could find that I wanted was brick of cheese, and when one primarily eats raw and/or organic food eating a bunch of cheese is most convenient. Anyways, the chopping board was dirty and I didn't want to wash it, so I cut a piece off the cheese while I was holding it. I had cut food that way several times in the past with no problems, and my mom always yelled at me for doing so. Well, this time I wasn't so lucky; the knife slipped and cut halfway through my right middle finger. It was along the pad of my finger, and bled profusely for what felt like forever. I cleaned and bandaged it myself because I won't go to a hospital unless it's life or death. When I showed the wound to a veterinarian friend of ours a week later she said I was very lucky that the barely attached finger tip didn't come off while healing, and now all I have is a very light scar that goes all the way across my finger as a lasting memory. -------------------- Nena Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

mined shore... bug or intentional? in Geneforge Series | |

The mines are disarmed by spore boxes, which are along the west side of the area. When you say "disarm" do you mean you shut off the spore boxes, or that you activated the mines with creations; if you meant the latter, you'll have to turn off the spore boxes to clear the area. Camille(sp) will turn off the spore boxes, but sometimes the turrets will kill her or her troops, so I go with them to help with the battles. While in combat mode the box will not come up again, so run out of his range of sight and don't let him see you again (don't go in the building again). This will allow you to talk to Lankan even if you have the canister without giving it to him or destroying it. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |

1. I've honestly never killed them, as they don't really have anything worth stealing. I suppose you might as well try it; they are not major characters, and I don't think anyone knows they are there. 2. There are different methods of getting through the tests. You could lure the Golems over to the essence pool, so you are able to keep recharging you essence as you fight. There's also the option of using creations as distractions (blessing and hasting everyone), or come back when you are very strong and have strong equipment. Edit: This thread might help, too. You can go back to being a loyalist on Dhonal's after giving the blue canister to Lankan. It seems word travels between islands, but some actions don't. Dhonal's is the big decision; actions on Greenwood and Harmony won't really alter the later islands. Posts: 2032 | Registered: Wednesday, January 26 2005 08:00 |
