Yes, but the in-story characters won't fall for the same trick twice. They already know that the rats can impersonate smoo, so any smoo which "escapes and returns to them" will undoubtedly be put under guard. That is ofcourse, if we haven't totally lost what little sanity we had left... - Archmagus Micael -------------------- "You dare Trifle with Avernum?" ~ Erika the Archmage -------------------- My Scenarios: Undead Valley : A small Undead problem, what could possibly go wrong? -------------------- Richard Black - PROOF of his existance (the Infernal one's website). -------------------- MY FORUM! Great story so far! But why do I get the bad feeling that I'm on the rat hitlist? Well at least three of them have Lord of the Rings references as far as I can tell. quote:BoG? ;) quote:Looking at the events of Sucia Island would be very interesting, and could give palyers an entire new world to visit. Those old Shapers had to be very powerful, and probably far more advanced, than the current Shapers. Reminds me of one of those old Armageddon films where we blew up the world and our descendants lived in the dark ages again. This is Jeff's world, and while I'm sure he may appreciate the fact that there are people out there willing to give him ideas, this is his playground. If you want to help give ideas then do so, by all means, but I severely doubt that he will pay them any attention (there are legality issues amongst others). If you have loads of ideas, by all means transfer them into a scenario for BoE/BoA, or give them to a scenario designer if you don't want to do them yourself. Or make your own game with your ideas... But leave Jeff his own world, please. EDIT: And if you are going to give ideas, at least make them legible. - Archmagus Micael [ Monday, October 23, 2006 12:08: Message edited by: Archmagus Micael ] -------------------- "You dare Trifle with Avernum?" ~ Erika the Archmage -------------------- My Scenarios: Undead Valley : A small Undead problem, what could possibly go wrong? -------------------- Richard Black - PROOF of his existance (the Infernal one's website). -------------------- MY FORUM! I prefer 4 customs. A Fighter-Priest, an Archer Mage, a Cleric-Mage, and a Mage-Cleric. Add in Divine Touch on all of them, give the fighter Elite Warrior, the Archer Beastmaster, and the Mage/Clerics Natural Mage... For some weird reason they just don't get close enough to me to really hurt... Can't imagine why though ;) . - Archmagus Micael [ Monday, October 23, 2006 11:43: Message edited by: Archmagus Micael ] -------------------- "You dare Trifle with Avernum?" ~ Erika the Archmage -------------------- My Scenarios: Undead Valley : A small Undead problem, what could possibly go wrong? -------------------- Richard Black - PROOF of his existance (the Infernal one's website). -------------------- MY FORUM! Well, I'm glad to see that people weren't lying when they said Avernum 2 was their favourite game :P . Rescuing the crystal souls is by far the most fun there is to have. :) - Archmagus Micael -------------------- "You dare Trifle with Avernum?" ~ Erika the Archmage -------------------- My Scenarios: Undead Valley : A small Undead problem, what could possibly go wrong? -------------------- Richard Black - PROOF of his existance (the Infernal one's website). -------------------- MY FORUM! Is it a good thing that I have no dinosaur attached to my name - or is it just because I just haven't been around lately? Well, I suppose I really aught to post this so I at least appear on the list next month, even if this is my only post. I'm just really finding at the moment that when I do have the time online, I'm not relaly interested in many of the topics going on at the moment. And the problem is, the less people post, the less I'm motivated to post. Aargh!!! Um, serviles into troglodytes? Isn't that overkill? Besides, what about the Spawners? Wouldn't they have evolved? While it may be fun to try and compare the two worlds, unless JV makes a game that actually does so, this is all meaningless conjecture. Fun, but meaningless. The 5th of September... What schools do you lot go to? Which countries are these which start so confundedly early?!? Then again, it's boring if you have nothing better to be doing. Most of the important npcs have sdfs coded into them I think. I'm not sure what they are though, or how to change them. If you're only at Kneece anyway I'd suggest re-starting the game, and be careful not to kill any npcs (or if you do load afterwards). Welcome back. The community still exists around here, though lots of us mostly lurk these days. I seem to recall you around here from when I lurked as a guest, but I can't remember much more than that. If oyu remember me you probably remember the noob (which I probably still am anyway). The most notable people around, well, they'll introduce themselves to you... Anyway, welcome back - and try not to go away... Don't forget about handing any sanity you regained back in. #79. Do not attempt to compare Avernum and Geneforge. #80. Talking Averforge is not appreciated by JV, for obvious reasons. #81. Just because the graphics aren't perfect doesn't mean the older games suck. #82. Playing Homeland: Stone of the Night is not a swift way to a painful death; it is the CIAs latest terror weapon. #83. Joining any Spiderweb satellite boards are bound to mke you lose even more of your sanity. #84. Pay absolutely no attention to any posts member #4506 makes. (this means I can say: nicothodes is cute :P ). #85. Dikyoba's stories are legend. Do not insult them. #86. Think happy thoughts (though that isn't possible for everyone, eg. #4 :P ). #87. Breach these rules at your own peril. Posts: 1370 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |

It's a bit late I know, but hey; Name by which you'd liked to be credited: E-mail address: Archmagus Micael archmagusmicael@gmail.com Operating system (Mac, Windows, etc.): Windows XP Do you want to be part of the first group of testers (bearing in mind the time/energy commitment that it entails): Not particularly bothered. Do you have a save file for a party that has just finished Bahssikava: Um, no, as that party soon died forever when the PC got virused. Do you want to use the Beta Testing Center: It's up to you, though I'd personally prefer emails. The Exile Trilogy had a spell for just about everything. I think everyone misses the old spells, but since Avernum's combat is so much easier, there's no need to make the enemies run away... Posts: 1370 | Registered: Thursday, June 10 2004 07:00 |

Um... EDIT: You can now get it here. - Archmagus Micael EDIT: It DOES work fine, but some PCs have trouble with the zip file. Dunno why. Try Winzip if all else fails, that seems to work nearly every time. Sorry it's taken me so long to respond (I've been on holiday). There should be absolutely no way through that door (espeially in version 2.0). Move Mountains (as Niemand said), is the only way to get past it. And yes, the dragon's purple, but hey. I could change the colour but there's no real point (still might do it though for the next update).
