 Area effect spells were back! Area affect spells were useful at times, but not as much as I'd hoped. "Huge" seamless world. It made Avernum feel more "real". Well, yes, I've always thought that two major cities should only be half a map sector away from each other. This definitely takes away the "realness". We were finally back in Avernum, and saw how it recovered after the Empire-Avernum War. How did Avernum ever survive the war if this is all they had. I'm sorry, but as my first Spidweb Game (that I bought) was Exile 3, which is basically Avernum 3, I'd have to say that good old exile/avernum wins hands-down. And to learn more about Bahs just play the "unnoficial" guide (Kel's scenario Bahsikava for BoA) To be honest, I never even found Bahs while playing Avernum 1. Most boring (and useless) spell has got to be Bind Foe. An absolute waste of time, as any monster strong enough for you to need to bind it can break free in a turn or less. Most boring (and pointless) monster has got to be the Amber Slime. They are so easy to kill, and just mind-bogglingly boring. Yeah, but by the time there's a large enough need for females, it will probably bo too late. Atleast1 entire generation will have too few females, wich will just cause things like rape and population destabilisation etc to occur. Alarge proportion of the men won't exactly refrain from sex just because there's not enough women. Sexual diseases would rise, and thee would be a general collapse.
