Pyro, I put the file up here on my site for personal ease, but it won't bother bandwith or anthing like that if I host it permanately for you (gotta be better than that thing you're using. Hi guys, I'm just posting here to inform you lot about the update I've been working on for UV. Undead Valley's now on version 2.0, which includes re-worked towns and clears up a fatal error in Rolar-Tel's fort, which prevented a helluva lot of people from completing it. I apologise to those who've emailed me and I've had to say it's not ready yet, so here it is: http://micael.tamarvalleyart.com/Scenarios/Download/ Just follow the links to either the Windows or Mac versions. I'm posting about it here as the computer which has my site on it is dead, so I can't update my own site (so don't bother looking at it for some time). Again, I'm sorry to those who've been stuck by that error, but I appreciate all your information. Please email me if you find anything wrong in this version, as I need to know A.S.A.P. Also, I'm posting it here as I'm not sure who has download links to the Scenario. If you do have a download link to it, please update. you can o this by the normal way, or just link it to my relevant file, as my site's got about 2GB of bandwith per month, with only 100MB being used (if that). Other Scenario: ETS is kinda crawling along, but I stop every time I look at the dialog (I just HATE it), so I have no idea when it's going to be out. ADVICE: There is a download file for ETS on the link I provided, but don't bother downloading that, as it has nearly all the dialog missing. As it says, it is a work in progress and should be treated as such (it's only up there for my personal backup). Thanks, and enjoy (or don't - it's up to you). :D - Archmagus Micael -------------------- "You dare Trifle with Avernum?" ~ Erika the Archmage -------------------- My Scenarios: Undead Valley : A small Undead problem, what could possibly go wrong? -------------------- Richard Black - PROOF of his existance (the Infernal one's website). -------------------- MY FORUM! No offense, but you'd have to be insaner than any normal Spidwebber to actually BUY Homeland. I mean, the rest of us can barely last ten minutes (if that) of the stuff. I mean, if you forced terrorists to play the game they would surrender! It's mind-bogglingly awful. Just like that RBTV stuff on that kid's movie (Rocky and Bulwinkle). So, I'd rate it as a 1.232. If I'd bought it's I'd rate it as a 3.14156 only for it's torture value. - Archmagus Micael -------------------- "You dare Trifle with Avernum?" ~ Erika the Archmage -------------------- My Scenarios: Undead Valley : A small Undead problem, what could possibly go wrong? -------------------- Richard Black - PROOF of his existance (the Infernal one's website). -------------------- MY FORUM! quote:I have to agree. I know it sounds awful, and I relaly like the old Avernum system, but I surprisingly loved Avernum 4 (except for the Lightning that isn't lightning). I ordered it a few days ago, and am just waiting for JV to see and then email me the code (darned weekends). So, apart from a few graphics issues, which I'm sure the spidweb boards have enough voluunteers to fix, I think Avernum 4's one of their best out. Not quite THE best, that's still got to be Exile 3 (my first) or Av2, but still good. Guys, A simple question: Who the hell is Ashby? I've been away from here for some time, and now all I see is "Nathan Ashby", "The REAL Nathan Ashby", "Ashby the Wise" etc. SO who is Ashby (and no, this isn't punishment for not being on the boards enough). I'm pretty confident it's not TM, as he's still Prometheus I think. I thought Vahnatai were tall and spindly, yet the Something-Boh guy I killed in Motrax's cave was larger than a slith, both heightways and sideways! Also, which picture is the one with the "lightning" spray on it. I can't seem to find it (windows version) but I want to change it to something more lightning-like. Thanks, - Archmagus Micael EDIT: I nearly forgot: I'd heard that the cheats were practically the same as in GF, but I don't now how to heal and energise myself using them. i need that for when I really can't be bothered to walk all the way to a friendly town past an area I've already completed. That the problem with no "rest" funtion! :( [ Sunday, March 05, 2006 00:20: Message edited by: Archmagus Micael ] -------------------- "You dare Trifle with Avernum?" ~ Erika the Archmage -------------------- My Scenarios: Undead Valley : A small Undead problem, what could possibly go wrong? -------------------- Richard Black - PROOF of his existance (the Infernal one's website). -------------------- MY FORUM! Guys, Since I've now got half-term I was considering finishing off ETS. However, my BIG problem is dialogue. I just can't seem ot make dialogue work - ever (as anyone who's played UV can tell). Is there an easy-to-learn dialgue guide (not the cookbook or the docs) that someone stupid like me might be able to use. Okay, I'm playing the Forsaken, and have got two real questions. One isn't as important, but the other is. 1) WHO is the murderer in that town near the beginning, and how do you Confront them? 2) Is there a way into the waterfall maintenance place in the west part of that HUGE city (gosh how I hate that city)? Well, it depends. There could have been a massive magical cataclysm which disrupted the moons' orbits AFTER life was formed, tohugh how life would survive for more than a few centuries (if even that) after this cataclysm is beyond me. Well, This is a REALLY badly distorted picture, somehow the site I was hosting it on distorted it immensely, and then told me they had to have "cutbacks" and it was my only elec' copy (mum's comp's CPU died), so here it is (i've put it on AOL's thinkg now). I doubt they'd put BoE as open source, but if they madeit open-source to a bunch of designers who want to upgrade it, but let JV still sell it, it would benefit both the community and JV. I still playBoE, even though it's outdated, but, like others, I think a patch (or totally re-done version) is well in order. Guys, I was just randomly googling the web for another game, and happened to fund these sites: http://www.comcast.net/games/playgames/details.jsp?fn=download/geneforge http://www.comcast.net/games/playgames/details.jsp?fn=download/geneforge2 At first I thought that they were legal versions that Spidweb sells to this company (like shareware companies do), but then I took a look at the Prices. You can buy Geneforge 1 for $14.99, and GF2 for $19.99 Considering we have to pay $25 from spidweb for these games, I'm wondering if this is legal. Should I email JV about this? Thanks for your input. - Archmagus Micael EDIT: Emailed Jeff about this, and he said that it was al legal, in fact, he makes good money from it, so it's all okay.
