What a place to spend a thousand. Your graph was not showing posts written per day/week/month, it was showing cumulative score. As such, the trend is always upwards. It would be infinitely (really) more informative if one could see the daily post count trend within a range of dates. That would likely show increases immediately before and during a new release, decreases until the Windows version comes out, a small increase, and then another increase in the summer when Ben gets out of school.

Also, this was my thousandth post. I'm so proud I could spit.

Right now, it only supports hourly averages, but I could probably adjust it to aggregate over a certain time period (such as a day/week/month...).

Edit: Actually, it would be better to make a new program for that. That would take a certain time range (start and end values) along with a period length (such as a day, or a month), and then draw a column graph rather than an xy-plot.

Err... whatever. It's not like I try to increase my posting rate during that time; it's just that my posting rate just naturally increses. :P

I dunno, though. I've been wasting more time on Exile 3 lately.

If anyone is interested, it sort of works.

Why does the scope > 800 really mess things up? Is that the purge?

Aran, I may have the honor of reminding you of the recent recurring multi-line nature of the last few posts on this thread, brought on by unfortunate but otherwise arguably necessary administrative steps of our newest elected moderator.

Either it's just me hallucinating, or the peak numbers changed since the last time I looked at that graph. I could be wrong, but it had looked like nothing was over 200 before.

Yes, that's to be expected. As it is now (without any extra options) the graph takes the last 720 hours - whether that begins at morning, midday or evening.

However, the "day", or 24-hour-period begins at the beginning of the 720 hour range. Which means that depending on whether you look at the graph in the morning or in the afternoon, some times are going to belong to either one day or the next.

An undocumented feature.

Edit: Yes, Jumping Salmon, so it is. The purge was a little over 800 hours ago. I'm working on fixing this.

It's dumb, but it is after all the first version. :P

Is that why I can't access it? I knew there was a reason for beta-testing. It makes everything nice and shiny (thinks about UV and groans).

It's this link: http://www.ermarian.net/stats/aggregate.php

If you can't display it, then you might have a browser that can't display PNG images...?
