I'll be gunning for it, to be sure. 4444 is truly a special number. There won't be another like it until 55555 comes along- and that will take quite a while, even at the ridiculous rate at which this board gains new members.

I believe the crossed-out Triad Mage in his title was designed as a humorous reference to Alec's stated aspirations for adminship.

I've also been told Alec was a mod for a time, but resigned from the position due to time constraints, or something along those lines. The banning, of course, was a product of the infamous "fagotville" fiasco.

Who did you like better Celts or Romans and why? in Nethergate

I preferred the Celts, although largely because of their war paint, spiky hair, and seksi bare chests. In contrast to the exuberant wildness of the Celts, the Romans seemed to appear markedly dull. I didn't find the Celtic inability to wear armor to be much of a liability, and their spell-casting abilities more than made up for such drawbacks anyway. While I found myself constantly running low on light sources, lockpicks, and javelins while playing as the Romans, no such problems surfaced while playing as the Celts. Spells were an economical and convenient replacement for cumbersome items, and the reusability of slings made them far more useful than javelins.

I first found out about Spidweb while looking on Download.com for shareware adventure-type games. That was around two and a half years ago. I first tried Avernum 3, followed by the two other Avernum games and Geneforge. I then went into a brief hiatus from Spidweb games, which was broken by the emergence of GF2. After playing through both Geneforge games, I decided to register A3 and Nethergate also, and enjoyed both thoroughly. As soon as BoA for Mac came out, I snatched it up as well.

My "deal" is ferrets, FBM. However, before I was ever aware of the existence of the domesticated ferret, the sight of a few weasels on some nature program on television turned me on to the weasel family as a whole. My newfound interest stimulated a voracious search for information on the family, which led to, among other things, my first encounter with the domesticated ferret. The rest, of course, is history. Taken by the playful, energetic demeanor of the domesticated ferret, a sharp contrast to the behavior of its wild relatives, I quickly developed a powerful bond with the domesticated ferret species, a bond that has yet to weaken in the slightest. Of course, though, this bond has done nothing to hurt my admiration for the other, wild members of the family, including the weasel, and, among others, the honey badger/ratel. I'm more than willing to strike a compromise, though. Keep the honey badger; I suppose I can do without it. Just leave me the weasel, ferret, mink, and fisher.

For me, it would have to be the elimination of fear, sorrow, pain, worldly desire, and worry, and the attainment of the even-minded state.

What reasons do you have, exactly, for this sudden outpouring of wangrage? We've already explained to you what Desperance is and isn't. For your part, you've stated that you refuse to click on any Desp. related links, meaning that you clearly haven't visited the site in recent times. And yet, you continue to spout your meaningless, uninformed fool opinions. That's just grand.

EDIT: Realized that Kel posted before me. This post was in response to The Creator's post.

Sit in the special seeing chair, which is located in a room to the far east that contains the ambushing mages and priests. The chair will allow you to view the entire caves area, as long as you use it correctly. To use it, merely have one of your characters sit in it, then use the directional tabs to move your view around. In this manner, you should be able to figure out which cell contains your sister, and set her free. You'll also need the key Kjellka is carrying to open the cell door, although if you already rescued Ashford you must have it.

I believe that's due to the fact that Alorael is attempting to make a chronological list. As he was "Alorael" for two separate spans of time (separated, as he says, by a brief period as "Skribbane Addict," he's placed "Alorael" on the list twice for chronological accuracy.

I consider equality to be a more important principle to uphold than freedom. The principle of sanctity of life trumps freedom in my book, as well. As such, I like big government and many clearly-stated rules. I like communism on principle, but support the idea of a very highly-regulated capitalist system, complete with heavily-funded welfare and social security programs.
