Decided to try creating a somewhat sane and interesting topic. There might have been topics like this before, I don't know. Here you go, anyway.

Does anyone of you write novels, short short stories or poems? How about painting (all kinds of different forms and techniques included)? Sculpturing or crafting? Dance? Musical interests and composing? Any other form of art ("art" is, after all, a very versatile word)?

Just being a curious, prying little fellow.

Now he is! Hurrah!

I don't think I'm like Mercenary in the least. Neither do I think you have the power to dub anyone to anything. Of you have a problem with this, so be it.

Thank you! I will now take my leave and save the topic from further spamming and flaming.

And in order to throw some gasoline on the bonfire...

Anyone here heard of "Anslem's Godproof" (at least that's what I think it's called)?

"The idea of God is Him being the most perfect creature and existance ever. This is true. An existing being is always more perfect than a non-existing one. Therefore, God must exist. Otherwise any small bug would stand above Him and be more perfect than Him."

This idea obviously has many flaws (read: you don't have to point them out), but it's still interesting.

For your amusement only!

Mr Weed is strongly against all kinds of weeds. Especially the mind-altering ones. He does admit, though, that the weeds in the flowerbed can sometimes be almost as bad.

Thanks! This topic is the funniest thing on SW in a long, long time!

I also agree with xxo. The beginning was (painfully) true.

It's only insulting if you consider it an insult, Thyrul...

I think my question was motivated. Sorry to all those who feel their feelings were hurt.

EDIT: I'll try to lay off the irony. Try, that is.

Eehh...how many of you cared for the state of Iraq before Bush decided to attack it? How many of you actively protested against the inhuman conditions? You probably didn't even know there was such a country.

And with some mindwork, my point should become clear.

EDIT: Would Bush care a s*** about how many people were tormented in Irag if it weren't for the destruction of the WTC?

And that should be obvious even without some mindwork.

Hmm. It was not that bad as a normal story. But I don't think it was that funny and I don't see why it should be posted here on SW. Perhaps it would be funnier if one knew this Chillson fellow...

Maija Vilkkumaa: "Ei saa surettaa". Currently perhaps the best rock singer in Finland. And the piece is simply one of the best I've ever heard, in any cathegory and on any scale.

EDIT: This is the second time I'm listening to it. Damn! It really is good. Have to buy it. My wallet cries blood.

quote:Originally written by USA-se Xenerali-boariku CUSITURA:
I intend to rise up bright and early on Christmas Day -- around 3:00 PM -- and walk briskly without running to Frémont Street, where I shall proceed to strut about the local Hard Rock wearing nothing except a comically oversized foam finger emblazoned with "#1" just above my penis, singing the Horst Wessel Song and flapping my arms bonelessly as if I am a tentacle demon emulating a flightless waterfowl, all the while forcing my friends to chant passages from 'Das Kapital' at me in eccalasaisical Latin until they pass out.

In other words, nothing out of the ordinary.
That's horrible punctuation abuse! But a nice plan anyway.

My plan:
1. Wake up and feel generally happy.
2. Do ordinary things.
3. Walk around feeling generally happy.
4. Starving myself.
5. Remembering the good old days and feeling nervous. Will our dog attack Santa this Christmas?
6. Daydreaming. Feeling happy.
7. Going to church. Contemplating over Christ. Giving money to the poor. Feeling hypocritical.
8. Waiting. Doublechecking the decorations and the food. Drooling.
9. Starving myself
10. Eating!! Eating! Eating more!
10. Meeting Santa!
11. Rejoicing over the nice presents and pretending to be happy for the...un-nice ones.
12. Singing Christmas carols.
13. Not yet planned.

Heh. I just don't understand classical music the way some of you obviously do. Those pieces I've heard just don't affect my feelings in any way (well, not much anyway). I can imagine the composer must have had some deep feelings while composing the piece, but that's all. I just can't interpret them. It's a bit sad, really, if what you say is true. So much to experience...

Well, at least there are always many, many other good non-classical pieces. :)

EDIT: And of course many good books as Riibu(?) mentioned. That's a form of art that even I can understand and enjoy to the fullest.

Well, this is exactly like a favourit game poll. I wouldn't want to live in any of Jeff's games (no offense ) but if I'd had to pick one I'd choose...well...the Geneforge world.

Morgan: Sorry, you misunderstood me. I was talking about the StD business. But that of that.

EDIT: Motrax, I've tried (read: have been forced) to listen to classical music but it just doesn't sound good to me. I guess I mostly miss the text and the words. On the other hand, I find operas and choir music to be really good.

Woolly Mammoths? Ehh...I know Alorael is a 54 years old who lives in Alaska but this was new to me. Does he live in some hidden valley where the stone age fauna still roams the fields? Perhaps he's a Cro Magnon himself!

The most irritating thing about "Sk8er Boy" is the fact that the producers have tucked an 8 into the name, in a vain attempt to attach some coolness to it.

Morgan, don't turn this into another flame war. Despite the fact that it probably would be more interesting, meaningsful and hilarious.

Red Hot Chili Peppers. Has anyone mentioned them yet? Awesome band.

And for the greater glory of accuracy...
1. Universally speaking
2. Venice Queen
3. Californication
4. Tear (currently playing)
