Hey! I just realized something! If you but an "," after the "I" in the name of this topic, it would read "I, Miss X" And that would be very paradoxal and strange! Posts: 756 | Registered: Monday, August 4 2003 07:00 |

I don't know about the House of Thunder, but Koontz is a bit overrated, really. It seems to me that every book he writes is the same in every aspect. Posts: 756 | Registered: Monday, August 4 2003 07:00 |

Well, no. This is just so...what it is. To much of what it is, actually. And it's not even fun anymore! When I first began scribbling on these boards I thought the people here on SW were ordinary sane people, somewhat above average intelligens, quite witty and sexually...well, shall we say, very ordinary. Please don't shatter my last illusion. [ Thursday, December 11, 2003 05:45: Message edited by: Ironweed ] Posts: 756 | Registered: Monday, August 4 2003 07:00 |

And why is that? I take it that you are talking about those other cultures, those nasty and strange ones in which people do such funny and silly things. I agree with you. Totally unnecessary and useless cultures. EDIT: Added an unhealthy dose of sarcasm. EDIT2: I'm sorry for misinterpreting your words on purpose. Is the Sidhe a race? I've always thought of Sidhe as the common name for all faerie creatures of the Celtic legends, including sprites, "elves" and even fomorians. Posts: 756 | Registered: Monday, August 4 2003 07:00 |

And Shik Ara to you too, dear Hinosu! Whatever it means. I promise not to flame anymore. The definition for spam is, by the way, anything that doesn't have to do with SW or its games. I think. Why change anything? I find the world very good as it is. Sure, some things like the freedom of speech in some countries could be improved, but I really don't think the governments of today are trying to make the world hell on earth. Yes, you could come up with suggestions like "feed all the starving!" and "money to the poor!". Very good, very idealistic suggestions. A shame that it wouldn't work out. If it would be so easy it would already have been done. People a lot smarter than you have decided what is the best. The laws and regulations have been developed and improved during the entire history of mankind. You think you could do it better? I don't. Strawberry Fields Forever is great! But seriously people, when talking about the Beatles, lets not forget such masterpieces as Penny Lane, Hey Jude (the original version!) and The long And Winding Road! Also, I've developed a scary attachment to songs like Lady Madonna and Paperback Writer. EDIT: Yesterday is not mentioned here as a masterpiece for obvious reasons. OOC: Well, I haven't been posting here in a long, long time mostly because of my limited time and the fact that this final battle was extremely hard to get a grip of. It ended well, however. Thank you for keeping my character alive, Tommy. IC: Eirik felt the cool night breeze against his chin and opened his eyes. It was still dark and he could only barely see the people standing around him, talking with each other. The eastern sky was, however, already gently gleaming in a purple hue. A new day was making its entrance. He sat up. "Take it easy." Eirik turned his head and noticed Lynn sitting beside him, holding a strange blue egg in her hands. She smiled at him, but the smile did not reach her eyes. Something was wrong. "Where...are we?" He hesitated, afraid of asking the question that laid on his mind. Lynn seemed to know what he wanted to know, however. "We got out. You remember how the tunnels started caving in? We...got separated. I don't know about the rest... And Jesitonia is...gone. She...ah, never mind. She is gone." Lynn turned away. Eirik tried to understand what she was saying. So it had all turned out well, after all? Jesitonia was dead and they were still alive. "And the others are still...down there?" Lynn answered but didn't turn around. "I don't know. But I saw Galen." It took a time before Eirik remembered the man who had saved his life?" Lynn nodded. "And you said you saw him?" Another nod. "Then I don't und..." "He is dead. I saw him when we fled. He didn't even try to get out. He is dead." Again Lynn went quiet. Eirik pondered on the words of the warrior. So Galen was dead. Now that you thought of it, he had always been a little mysterious and quite secluded, always talking about his own people. Eirik remembered the soft voice with which the Wanderer had called him back to life when the curse had ravaged him, but not much else. And now Galen was dead and he was never going to be able to even thank the strange man that had saved his life. Eirik sighed heavily, his heart filled with sorrow. Some victories always felt too expensive. "I see." And so the mercenary and the warrior sat there, side by side, waiting for the new dawn to emerge. OOC: I didn't want to ruin your fun so you may describe the way you got out of the caves in detail if you want to. I personally think it's not that important and so I will finish here. It has been a pleasure playing with you. Thank you all. [ Monday, December 08, 2003 02:17: Message edited by: Ironweed ] Posts: 756 | Registered: Monday, August 4 2003 07:00 |

Willow sucks but so does every other fantasy-movie. Just think about the Conan movies *shudder*! Why is it so hard to transfer good stories (no, I don't consider Conan a good story) to the big screen? The new LotR trilogy is perhaps the only somewhat decent fantasy-movie. And as for my opinions... 1. One of the Sweet Valley High books. Decided to try one out a long time ago and ended up vomiting on my floor. 2. This is a hard one. I generally like all music, but heavy metal and such isn't that appealing. 3.Overflow! Overflow! But I think either the American Pie movies or Shindler's list comes quite close. It's not that Shindler's list isn't interesting or even exciting, it's just that it's so boring. Posts: 756 | Registered: Monday, August 4 2003 07:00 |

Yeah, this doesn't seem fair to me. The big bad oldies call the nasty-tempered newbie "Bates" although they know it will just provoke him. And when he gets angry and tries to defend himself, they tell him not make such a big deal of it and mock him because of his newbieness. And if that was too difficult to understand: No more "Bates" = Peace and happiness to everyone Halleluja. Posts: 756 | Registered: Monday, August 4 2003 07:00 |

Fools! You are on your way towards your own destruction! This is not the right path to follow! Friends, realize that by posting in this topic you want nothing but acceptance for your musical tastes! You don't need such a thing! Be proud of yourselves! Realize that you are loved by those close to you even without this kind of nonsense! And this is not the right way to increase your posting! The only real Santa Claus is the Joulupukki! At Christmas eve, he wanders from house to house and blesses the households that are kind enough to let him eat some food! He is the bringer of fertility in the midlle of the dark, scandinavian winter! Oh, blessed be he who comes with a "stick" dangling from between his legs and goat horns attached to his head!
