You could have different NPC's join you depending on which side you take. This could include monsters. A young dragon could join you, an imperial dervish, a vahnati, or if you are evil a raksashi that would pretend it was a nephilim when it entered towns.

This would add a little spice to the game.

Remove your party from the scenario using the character editor. Erase your current version and download the new version. Put in new version. The new version fixes that bug. You have to start over.

I happen to like fantasy and science fiction artists. My favorite, if not one of the best illustrators that ever lived is Arthur Rackham. I have also picked a few that I am especially fond of.

I don't think it will be either. I think it will be something else. Main plots-- the risen Nephilim come back for their fallen brethren. Think highly armed angry nephils from another dimension. The sliths attack in force. There is a cold war between the Vahnati and Empire. A massive quickfire bomb is set off inside the empire by the risen Nephilim, etc. I do not think it will be what we expect.

This is just an odd game. I am waiting to see how Darghul will be though. I played a bit of the demo of Teudogar which was kind of odd.

Darghul and Teudogar

I am interested in finding out about other independent roleplaying games. Please let me know.

You are frazzled. After a while you turn to leave. Dr. Xavier comes out and tells you the experiment is over. He tells you that you actually did not kill anyone, it was just a test to see how far an ordinary person would go in torturing a person for money. He asks you to sign a consent form and a confidentiality agreement. You are given $500 and told to tell no one about the experiment.

You are walking home from the lab. As you are passing a small cafe a man cuts in front of you. He puts his hand on your shoulder it feels like a vise grip and tells you to sit down. He tells you to sit down and hands you a business card. His name is Mr. Lee, he is a lawyer for Gambino and Tong. He tells you that he is aware of the experiment you were in and that it was illegal.

He is wondering if you felt any mental anguish, stress, or coersion in doing the experiment. He will give you $2000 up front if you will testify against Starsky and Hutch labs. He thinks he can force a settlement of $20,000. He opens his briefcase and takes out a piece of paper and asks you to sign it. What do you do?

You are visiting Starsky and Hutch laboratories. You are near broke and can barely afford your apartment. Lately you gave blood to the blood bank to pay the rent. You saw an advertisement in the local free hippy paper for people to take part in an experiment for money. You go in the front door. A professor Xavier is waiting for you. You are very hungry. He tells you that he wants you to participate in an experiment. You can see a man strapped to a chair . There are wires leading into his underwear. Professor Xavier shows you a dial numbered one to ten. He tells you that each setting will increase the current to the man in the chair having an increased chance of killing him. For each increased level of current you will get a banana. The bananas are redeemable for $50 each. He hands you a consent form which says you will not be responsible if you kill the man in the chair if you decide to continue the experiment. Do you sign it? Assuming you have signed the form. You sit down and turn the dial to one, the man grits his teeth, you turn it two his eyes start bugging out, you turn it to three the man starts to scream. You have three bananas-- how far will you turn the dial?

When I press the button to kill my mother will I salivate just like Pavlov's dog. Maybe I can attach some electrodes to the giraffes eyeballs and every time it gets too close to the mad scientist it will get a shock. Or maybe I can ask the giraffe to fake a scream. You are told that if you beat the giraffe with a stick it will run toward the mad scientist and it will get a horrible shock. The more it screams the more bananas you will get.

Stupid behaviorist games are only funny for a while. The objective is not moral but to test if people have Pavlovian reactions. Games theory works best when people don't realize they are part of the game.

Well if you must know it is "scientifiction" first coined by Hugo Gernsbach in 1927, the founder of American Stories, the first science fiction magazine. I have no beard but I was born in Berkeley, California, and I am phat you wussy gamer fan boy. So there :P

As far as what a roleplaying game is who cares as long as it is fun to play. Computer games are for fun not blathering about how many pixels got stuck in your nose and ears.

I nominate Arcanum again a million times over. I finished it twice. Play it. You'll like it. None of the games I see out there seem worth getting. The only other thing which looks even remotely good is Warlords Battlecry III -- highly rated. I'm thinking of getting it. A combination fantasy/ strategy game once again with roleplaying elements.

Jeff got one of these Story About A Baby . If you have one then you usually want more. Kids cost money. Thus a focus on creating new ways to make money. Thus Avernum 4, Geneforge 4, and probably more. There is nothing like children to get a man going on creating cash. Promises to not develop things go away when you think of college.

Funky spoilers, little details, special effects, snippets and stuff. I like little details which you have to hunt for. I follow the idea of check every corner, check every space, after all there is no timer on this scenario. So far the super hidden areas I have found are: the goblin dungeon, a secret exit, the yggdrasil statues in the tiger area, and the various mithril chunks. I also invaded the mansion in Zephirim but then I died as soon as I left town.

I was wondering if any of you found a way to get to the world tree next to the bugbear lair. There are some sandy colored tiles which are visible past the trees, but I can't get past the trees. Any easter eggs, or hidden areas.

One of my favorite effects was the explosion. Destroying inanimate objects is fun. Hopefully we will get to destroy doors, chairs, furniture, houses, in the future. Maybe it might even be possible to have a scorched earth effect. Follow the old military doctrine of destroy everything you can't use because if you can't the enemy might be able to.

This is precisely why they should screen people before giving them a gun. Basic criminal background check -- psychiatric check. Alright buy your gun. This is more important than the type of firearm. It kind of makes me wonder what people are thinking. The only time I've handled a shotgun or rifle is if the person hunted deer or wanted to get rid of pests like skunks. Never felt a need to hunt myself.

That is really poorly put together. Because a person is trapped does not mean they will die. You try and put out the fire and hope you do not die in the process.

Although, not a roleplaying game. This is a fantasy strategy game Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic. There are some roleplaying elements-- hero units, etc.
