Free/very cheap upgrades? I wish... Ikari, that was awesome =] Order Mage, don't even think about following TM's instructions. Also, you can be a good member with 1 post, and you can also be a bad member with 5000. Post count has nothing whatsoever to do with how good of a member you are. OOC: Dolney: yes he is. IC: The paladin mumbled, "I thought you would know that already." Dralnok turned back to the paladin, surprised. "Why should I know that?" The paladin replied, "We have met before. I am Sir David." Dralnok searched his memory, but could not remember the name "Sir David". But he did remember a paladin... in a forest... and something about a bandit ambush... "Ah. Sir David. I remember you," Dralnok replied. "Then... I suppose your deed is now repaid." "Indeed," replied Sir David. "You have most likely saved my life, and that, friend, I will not forget. Tell me, though, what were you doing in this forest?" -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. Deep in the woods, five men in red robes stood over a metal cage with sacrificial daggers, laughing gleefully, and a bit maniacally (sp?) as well. A paladin sat in the cage, glaring at them and gazing longingly at the sword hanging at their leader's belt; his sword. The cultists had placed a curse on the cage, nullifying any holy magic cast within it, and it was all he could do to keep himself from simply going insane. The laughter grating on his nerves, the paladin turned his body so as to place himself next to the heavy lock on the cage. He began reaching his fingers closer, but as soon as they left the interior of the cage, the leader gave them a sharp rap with the blunt edge of his dagger. The paladin jumped, hitting his head on the bars, attempted a simple healing spell, glared at the leader once more when the spell fizzled out, and stuck his fingers inside his mouth, hoping to stop the bleeding. If he was not rescued soon, the paladin figured he might as well just give up and welcome insanity. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. So who'd you vote for, Nader? Sorry, just had to say that... for some reason... Anyway, I suppose you're right... I guess I'm the same way, except that I'm not old enough to vote and I'll probably vote Republican. As do I, although the British might take that the wrong way... they tend to side with Northern Ireland, for obvious reasons, and as you said, the U.S. would most like be more inclined to take the side of Southern Ireland... so maybe some kind of join effort? More Americans than British, of course, because the radical IRA members might not appreciate British soldiers having control over them... -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. This topic is going way too fast for me, that's what I like about smaller boards... anyway, stranger, calm down, but I guess that's a bit late since I'm refering to your post right after mine. As for no God as we think of God, well, that depends on how we think of God... I mean, if you think of a Zeus'like character, basically a super-human, then no, of course not. My wiew of God is far from that, however, so I can't really agree or disagree, since I don't know what, exactly, you are talking about. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. Heh Anyway, I take offense at your description of the groups that support Bush, partially because I am neither a redneck, rich, nor an idiot. I say "partially", not "mostly", because I don't care much about personal insults. Well, not when they are put like that, anyway. But really, what if I said somethign to the effect that the only supporters of a Democratic president were either too stoned to know what they are doing, getting sexual favors, or communists/anarchists? Actually, now that I remember where I am, maybe that wouldn't offend you too much, since I put that last part it... anyway, please use that thing in your skull before saying dumb things like that. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. The giants have inexhaustable stores of carved boulders, but all other ranged guys can, and often do, run out. I say "often do" because I am sometimes too lazy to hit the combat button and simply walk up to the guys and kill them with my 1st person, who is always my strongest melee character for just that reason. Anyway, there is generally a trail of arrows in the direction I came from, but only one or two in the place where the archer's body lies. Same with vahnatai, sliths, etc. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. Omlette, I fail to see how that defines "freedom". It's a better definition than, say, "the ability to do whatever you want", and "stick to your principals even when it's easier not to" is a good philosophy by itself, but it really isn't a definition. To my mind, anyway. The first part of my signature is my philosophy... if it needs explaining, ask. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. Yeah, it's the basis of a lot of wars... (I don't say "all wars" because... well, look at WW2) Anyway, yeah, it is terrible... but I can't think of any solution that wold make everyone happy... I guess the best we can do is to get the militant groups to calm down. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. Yet another saying that really annoys me, for no particular reason... (in reference to JF's last sentence) Custer, I won't get into an argument about whether or not Christianity was good for them or not, but I can say that Africa seemed to appreciate it, and while it wasn't very well accepted in Asia (many Asian Christians are still brutally persecuted today), those who it caught on with were very happy about it. As for the rest, of course there are disadvantages, but wouldn't you at least agree that Imperialism is better than Isolationism, industrialization is better than a more slave-based system, and democracy is better than authoritarianism? I admit none of it worked as well as it did over here, but think of where they'd be today if none of that had been introduced... think of those African tribes JF mentioned... like I said, it's not perfect, but it was better than the system at the time. EDIT: VWM: Maybe so, but at least today everyone can get an education, no matter the quality... back then, only the rich could, or the extremely smart.
