Sir David crouched down, drawing on his remaining energies. Drained from the lack of sleep, the fire shield, the journey through the night, and now, most recently, the battle, Sir David had little energy to spare. Praying that it would be enough, Sir David watched through slanted eyes as a translucent white bubble took form around Kel-Aziz. He cringed as he felt his energy leaving him, then fell to the ground, gasping for air. TGO gave him a concerned look, then went back to watching the demon. Sir David removed his cloak, made a bed of pine needles, and lay down on it; without sleep, Sir David would be not only useless, but also an obstruction to the group. Seconds after his head touched the cloak, he was asleep. He began to dream... ... He was walking through a forest of giants; trees that could only have reached this size if they had stood from the beginning of time. Sir David was lost, wandering aimlessly. Suddenly, he saw a flash: a white hart had run in front of him, then dashed off ahead. Sir David immediately gave chase, and followed the hart through the trees, which were getting increasingly further and further apart. He saw a stone tower slowly growing in the distance, then a burst of flame filled his vision; dark red fire surrounding the tower, and a burst of white flame from the hart. Sir David rushed headlong into the white flame, and felt strengthened. Then he saw a huge beast fly from the top of the tower, surrounded in the red fire, and come plummeting towards them, carried on leathery wings. The beast struck the hart head-on, and boths kinds of flames mixed and then exploded; Sir David was knocked off his feet, and the hart lay on the ground, barely alive. Sir David drew his sword, refelecting the white flame surrounding it, and charged at the beast... ...and woke up, screaming wild battle cries, as the others crowded over him, worried. He looked past them at the rising sun, and realized that he must have spent most of the night in the forest of giants... Well it depends what you're looking for... specify what type of animation you're trying to find. I can make some small ones if you can't find what you're looking for but don't expect a lot... E-master has some good smileys, not like the usual ones, here. WTH... first of all, that post doesn't even resemble the cry of a martyr, second, I was defending Johnny, not making myself seem like a martyr. Ohhh wait, you thought I was talking about the "Settle down Poncho" part of your post. I wasn't. I was talking about the "They weren't making fun of him" part, and proving it wrong. Anyway, this topic has served its purpose, so METALOCK. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. Sir David, watching the horseman take a different path, decided that curiosity, no matter how useful, was less important than the protection of the group. When he caught up with them, they had finished their conversation, though they still looked puzzled, and they were watching the woods around them warily. Sir David dropped to the ground lightly in front of them, causing them all to jump and draw their weapons halfway, and rejoined them. He noticed that the ground was beginning to slope upwards... -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. OM: First of all, why am I on your ignore list for PMs? Second, the link in your signature is messed up, and it pushes the whole screen over to the right, on my computer at least, which means that when I go into a topic that you've posted in, I have to constantly scroll over to the right, then back, then right... anyway, it's annoying for me, and people are more likely to click the link if it's clickable anyway. I think it should be whatever you want the link to say except without the spaces, and with something other than "whatever you want the link to say". Please fix that... thanks. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. I love the EV series, my only problem with them is the open-end thing, which totally screws it up, for me anyway. I like knowing when I've won, and it's not very easy to tell in EV1, and especially EV2. In EV3 it ends too abruptly. Hopefully EV4 will have (a) better ending(s). Which reminds me, I emailed with the suggestion that EV3 should have music, and they said it would... I guess they thought I meant sound effects... who else thinks they need some kind of music? One of my favorite things about strategy games (SC, WC, AoE, etc) is the music. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. Sir David, in this RP anyway, is a paladin of... eyah, told you that already. Anyway, he's the leader of a small elite band of archers who are kind of like adventurers, but do everything for religious purposes, not for gold, and they live in forests. They are not in this RP because Sir David is currently... actually, I'll reveal what he's doing here later, but anyway that's why he was in a tree. I can't really say anything else without giving away something of his plans, sort of like ol' Vin, and everything else I've already said. IC: Sir David, drained after maintaining the two shields, not to mention two going on three sleepless nights, walked slightly in front of the others as they discussed the attack. Sir David, while concerned, had no way in which he could contribute to the topic, so instead he stayed as wary as possible, in case the group needed more protection. After about a half hour of this, Sir David stopped. The others, deeply absorbed in their conversation, did not notice this, nor the sound of gallopping somewhere nearby. Sir David, however, did notice this sound, which made the beast it came from faster than any mortal horse. Puzzled and more than slightly worried, Sir David launched himself into the nearest tree and jumped and climbed in the direction of the sound. The others noticed his abscense at the same time that he saw the source... EDIT: Eh, did it again. OK, so how about this: our group is near K-A, who is near the Tower. The group is on the path leading to K-A at the top of a hill, and Sir David is in a tree somewhere near them watching Vin on his magical horse, which is quickly overtaking the group. For what purpose, I don't know. But just in case he wasn't planning to meet us this soon, there's another little path leading off to the side, behind us =] [ Wednesday, July 02, 2003 10:29: Message edited by: Sir David ] -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. Nye, I said "Nye, WTH" to justify my waste of a perfectly good post, but mainly because of the whole trapped in Exile thing. As for flying/invisibility, it's not that I like being the center of attention, but I think the pure joy of having wings would far outweigh the embarrasment of having people staring/pointing/screaming/etc. Also, if this were a reliable personality test, then it proves the Myers-Briggs thing wrong, because I tested Introverted on that and I'm going to believe that test, not this question about superheroes. Another thing that would be really cool is to have webbed hands and feet, along with gills... but that wasn't one of the choices, and I think flying would still be better. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. The group walked warily along on a small dirt path, trying to find a wider road to travel on, when suddenly a large dark shape fell from a tree and landed with a loud thump in fromt of them. All three quickly drew their blades and held them between themselves and their assailant. The shape rose slowly from the ground and spoke. Sir David: Good Lord, I haven't fallen from a tree in years. TGO: Who are you? Sir David: I am a holy paladin of the Order of the Gryphon; more I cannot tell you. Know only that I... wait... what are you doing? TGO: Demon-hunting. Sir David: Count me in. And with that, Sir David joined the group, contributing his small knowledge of rudimentary magic and large knowledge of melee warfare, along with his beautifully carved bow and well-forged sword, and his famous (or maybe notorious) green armor. Ignoring the strange looks the others gave him, Sir David moved off in front of them, seeming to already know the way. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. Non-lyrical classic, apparently. I feel sorry for you then. I like almost all genres of music, because I judge by the song, not the genre (I find that almost every genre has at least one good song). Some genres contain more songs that I find to my liking, or course, but I really don't have a preference of genre. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance. Hey, your tastes are different, as you said. You like some types of books, other people like other types. And you say you read for enjoyment, and talk like that's why everybody reads; I often read for education, and enjoyment is a nice side effect, and maybe others read because they just need to relax, and HP is the best way they know how to do so. If you don't look through your own eyes, judging by your own tastes, it makes a lot more sense. -------------------- And though the musicians would die, the music would live on in the imaginations of all who heard it. -The Last Pendragon TEH CONSPIRACY IZ ALL Les forum de la chance.
