The guy's name is Oppenheimer, right? This is a known bug. No, it's not going to be fixed now.

Happa Tai Yattai, actually.

"Happa Tai", meaning roughly "Leaf Team", being the group that performed "Yatta"; so named because they wore nothing but fig leaves while performing.

I believe hit chance is actually capped at about 95%, so no matter how good you are you can't hit more often than that.

If you don't have a credit card, you can pay by cheque or international money order. Making out a cheque is easy if you have a bank account. Failing that, you can get a money order made in US dollars at any major post office, and all you need is cash.

So if it can't or won't be fixed it's not a bug? Convenient.

I love that you felt the need to qualify this statement with "probably", as if it's remotely possible that Jeff intended players who lug the moon around to suddenly get three times as many action points as unencumbered characters.

Email Spiderweb Software at spidweb@spiderwebsoftware.com and explain your situation. We occasionally do get people here asking if they can just get the registration code by email without having it mailed to them; none of them have complained so far, so I assume SW is pretty good at handling that sort of thing.

I'm not sure why you're okay with giving out your credit card number but don't want to give out your postal address, though.

3) Most importantly, we must not, as members of the community, brook stupidity. I do not hold my own behavior as a model, as I am far too caustic for standard practice and if everyone or even a good number of people behaved like me nothing would get done.
I am curious. What, exactly, do you propose that we ought to "get done" here?

If an oldbie says something that doesn't make sense, chances are it's a quote you don't recognise.

Kelandon's HLPM is the only HLPM you need.

As far as I know, it's also the only HLPM that exists.

I've only ever heard two people say you can't attribute possession to an inanimate object. The other was a cranky old woman. As such, you're in bad company even if correct.

And why do some items have an import characteristic, and some don't?
Import just means that all properties of an item that aren't explicitly defined are inherited from another item. It's a convenient way of making "sets" of similar items (e.g. all rings are going to have certain things in common, like weight, so they all import from a basic ring item.) The first item of a set doesn't have anything else to import from, so it won't have an import field.
